I'm just glad that girlgolfa wasn't in my group. She shot 79 today. Now THAT would have been hard to take! (Nice round, g.g.!)

I hadn't noticed that. Great round girlgolfa!!

If she were in my group, Jim, I might have suddenly "developed the flu" or something and had to leave at the turn!

Palo Alto (CA) Muni early morning back 9. Played from the blues. Big fat Zero fairways and greens hit. 1 GIR. 202 driving distance average. 15 putt. 43 (par 36). Didn't strike the ball well but somehow still managed to scrap a sub bogey round.

Girlgolfa, that could've been a 75 without penalties. So what tees do junior girls tee off from? Whites or Blues?

83 on a par 72, 10 pars, 1 birdie, 2 bogeys and 5 double bogeys. I guess I'll call it the bipolar round

Another ropey day for me on saturday..... 85 which was aided by much improved driving but an inability to hit closer than a half inch behind the ball with my irons.... never a good plan to play immediately following a lesson!

What did you shoot today?

Ah, this game does funny things to you.

This weekend, I played in my club tourney and shot a horrendous 98, that included blading a wedge through the green in both directions on the same green !! (in our Labor day 2-day tourney I shot 86-86).

The next day, I'm playing with my 13 yr old (he plays from the mens tees, 6,000 yrds), and we go head to head, I'm ahead, then tied, he goes ahead, then we tie....we both finished with an 85 !!! He shot a 34 yesterday on 9 holes, and when I asked...how many mulligans?...he said, NONE !!, but grandpa said, well, he nudged the ball, playing it up a few times, lol.

Interesting round today! 2 over after nine then I start back nine with a double bogey, bogey, double bogey, and finish the last six holes at 2 under. wind up with a 77. Last hole was a 550 yard par five and I hit a real good drive down the middle which leaves me 250 to the center of the green but the flag is in the back so I am at 260 to the flag. hit a 3 wood dead on and it is sailing through the air just right of the flag. Lands in the bunker, roles through it, jumps the lip, and stops on the fring pin high and 15 feet to the right. chip it inside of 3 feet and make the birdie putt

Bad round on Sunday...102...I should have gotten a 94, but I wasted 6 shots on 3-putts and 2 shots on well...just listen...

On #17, a medium-length par 5 (525 yards), I hit an awesome drive. 280 yards. Ok, it was down hill, but still good none-the-less. Then, I have an awesome 2nd shot! I hit a 210 yard 5-wood right down the middle to within 60 yards of the hole.

Then, I have a pitch over water.

I flub the pitch into the drink, hit on in 5 and two-putt for a 7.

I obviously should have gotten a par.

next time try leaving yourself out 100 yards. Personally I try to stay away from the 30-60 yard range. I find half shots hard to control distance

Hi all,

88 today, felt better than the last couple of games which is good...especially since I've got a Presidents Grade inter-club game (first of the new season) on sunday against a certain member of this forum's club

Cheers,
Jim
