I had a great round for me today...2 birdies, 12 pars, 4 bogeys...37-37...74. I like my new TM 425 driver. I don't hit as many fairways with it yet as when I was hitting the 10.5 HiBORE, but I feel that it is the right loft for me and I feel stronger with it.

Here is my scorecard

76 tonight...41 on the front nine and not seeming to be on a track to anything but a mid-80s score. On the 10th tee, I fiddled with my grip a little and presto, found what felt just as comfortable as the shoddy grip but had the benefit of squaring the face and bringing my distances back up to where they should be (I was 10-20 yards short lately, depending on the club). I proceeded to hit 8/9 GIR on the back, with the sole miss being by about a foot on #17, although I had no more than a 20 footer left. Ended up with a 2 under 35 on the back, my best on that side in several years.

Nice job, stlcard_25! I saw that 2 under on the back nine. Sweet.

I've been wondering what it going on with my lost distance...I have a feeling that my grip is part of the reason. I need to experiment with the grip at the range next time...it's probably too strong.

I shot a 91 today in a tourney, I had 9 pars, 4 bogies, 1 double, 3 triples and 1 quadruple bogey. Needless to say I probably won't win.

played the black tees at Red Tail Run in Decatur, IL today. only got the front 9 in (3664yds.) played pretty good, 15-20mph wind straight out of the south, but seemed to be hitting through the wind now, thanks to some changes i've made in my swing over the last week. hit 4 GIR, 7/7 on the fairways, and 14 putts. on the 9th hole i hit a 294yd. drive (measured with my SkyCaddie) then had about 160 left to the green and hit the flag stick w/ my 7i. ended up shooting a 37 (+1), 1 birdie, 6 pars, and 2 bogeys.

I played in the Valley View men's league weekly "twlight" today. I shot a 40...three-putted for par on #9 from 50 feet or so. I hit my new hybrid on the exact line that I wanted between tree tops and it went right past the flag to the back of the green. I didn't think I could hit it far enough to get on, let alone go way past the flag to the back. It's a strange club that I still struggle to hit on the line I want, but I hit it that time!

Here is the scorecard.

Very nice day in the upper 60's...just right!

Went out early this morning & did a little putting & chipping then was about the 2nd person on the Parr 60 Peter Alliss course at Branston this morning. Fairways & greens were in quite nice condition not that I spent much time playing from fairways. I had the best score I've ever managed on this course, though yet again I know I can do far better than I did. Made 68 over 18 holes 26 putts in total & yet Iron shots generally were going left again (think I need to look at my grip again or regrip my clubs with an axtra wrap) Driver had a slight fade, which might have been worth taking into account on the course. Could have improved my fairways & my score still further had I taken all this into account.

Anyway if anyone is interested in the actual performance today have a look here

Played Riverside in Cambridge Springs, PA while visiting friends. Shot 86 with 32 putts (not counting 3-4 from off the green). The driver was straight for a change (not that long but all of them were in play) and my irons couldn't miss - I just gave away strokes with the flat stick. 6 pars, 1 birdie (two lipped out) - still my best round of the year.

played the front 9 today at Red Tail Run. me and the guy i played with were the only 2 out there, torrential downpour and a stiff 20mph wind. played the black tees (3664yds.) and shot a 39 (+3). as of late, everything in my game is starting to come together, i'm hitting every fairway with the driver, playing a slight fade... i think over the past month i've missed 3 fairways and i'm hitting the ball 250-300yds, my iron play is a lot better... they seem to fly through the wind instead of get stood up by it, my putting is exceptionally well.

One of the wackiest rounds I have ever played...

http://www.mygolfdomain.com/round_view.php?round=1810

5 birdies (#1, #2, #8, #9, #10) and a wacky grand total of 3 pars...the rest was pretty ugly. Very poor driving with the TM 425.
