I played the best round of my life yesterday. But my putting was worse than ever, six 3 putts! I played Eagle Creek here in Orlando and shot an 82 (Par 73, 70.4/122). I hit 92.9% fairways (missed one), 61.1% G'sIR (only hit 1/4 Par 3's). But the kicker was 40 putts! Aaarrrrgh.
I wish I could blame the bad putting on the green conditions (Aerated/Sanded), but it was mostly bad putting on my part.
I guess I should be happy I kept it under 100 (shot 99), but no part of my game was there today. 2 fairways, 2 greens, 3 three jacks, 7 penalty strokes. So much for trying to shorten the swing...
I only played 9, and shot a 49. I got a par that I was really proud of. I won't talk about the other holes. I shot some really good shots to help recover from some really bad shots. Nonetheless, I enjoyed myself.
I played a new course yesterday par 68 and i scored 87,i was very unfortunate at one hole,i sliced my approach to green and went to get ball and there was a nasty piece of unsighted rough i scored an eight wheres i was hitting 4,s and definite 5,s,drives slightly right but fairway forfiving, approach sometimes short or to the left, but i had been practising lovely sandwedge lobs and sometimes i was down in 2 from off green and hit pin on one of them,a steady day at the office only had one bad shot all day when shanked a pw through green, did,nt count lost ball as bad as did good contact but unlucky with patch off rough which still had fairway ten feet in front
Davis Park Amateur. Started on #8. Very poor play. Most of the pins were close to the fringe and on a slope. I had 39 putts. Ended up in the "mud" trap on #11 which cost a couple of strokes. Pulled my drive on #4 into the tree, then rehit and had my best drive of the day.
A bit up and down to say the least. Started with a triple bogey on the first (OB with my drive, the perfect start), 3 more double bogeys, and eagle and three birdies later added up to a 77. Consistency personified!!!
Mine was yesterday too but I shot an 82. Starting to get really bored with being stuck in that range when I should be shooting more in the mid to upper 70's. Having a hard time dropping the ball into the hole. Burning edges for birdies but no cigar. Same on lots of par putts for that matter.
