Played 18 in 90 degree weather yesterday. Course was very firm, but manageable.

Shot a very nice 41 on the way out, including a nice birdie on the 9th. Not so hot coming home, 5 doubles in a row, before closing with back-to-back pars for 45.

The rain finally ended and I play 18 yesterday morning trying out a new putter. 91 with 39 putts! I hit 8 fairways and 5 GIR (which is pretty good for me) but the putter experiment is over. See for sale thread.

Sunday… Another 79 on the Destroyer. It is 6,800 yd 129 rating with water coming into play on 13 holes. Not the easiest course, but not the hardest either. Got a better start, but had a “broke-back” (3 bogies in a row) on 3, 4, & 5, then got going and didn’t have another bogie till 12. Tough finishing holes, 16 is a 444 yd par four, 17 is a 220 yd par three with bunkers all around, 18 is a 590 par 5 with water on both sides of the fairway for your second shot. I managed to par 17, but took bogies on 16 & 18. Ran out of gas!!!

Unusually humid on Saturday in the Denver area. I REALLY fell apart on the last 3 holes of the front nine (quad, par, quad--yikes!). Out in 47. Started feeling dehydration on the back 9 (walked the course), but after a double-bogey on the 10th hole, still managed to go 2-over on the last eight holes.

I smoked two drives over 340yds on two par 5's, but couldn't convert either into eagles/birdies (poor approach shots).

Do tell us how you hit the ball that far?

Played in "the big" tournament today...Utah State Amateur qualifier. After my ridiculous 39 putts just two days ago in the Am at the same course, I had a goal of 30 putts or less today. I had 26 putts.

So, we're good, right? Nope. I shot an 81 and missed qualifying by 6 strokes. I guess I needed more goals.

Here is the scorecard:

There are photos of the beautiful beer cart girl that posed for my website. There was a three group wait on that long par 3...tough hole, but the girl probably added to that, too.

I shot a +11/82. Quite good for me. I drove it well all day and my ball-striking and putting were both decent for the most part. Don't you hate it when the best part of your game goes south for no apparent reason ? It was my less-than-full SW yesterday. I bladed a couple and never really hit one close. It stopped me from going really low (for me). Highlight was on a shortish par 5 (510), I hit what I thought was a good drive down the right side only to find myself about 15 yards right of where I thought dead behind a tree. I had to punch out sideways and was only able to advance it forward about 60 yards. 210 out, I hit a 5 wood to 2' right pin high after the 5-some in front of me had cleared the green and were watching (that always makes one of those more satisfying). Made the bird, too... one of 2 on the day.

I just got back from New Brunswick. I played a track called St Ignace. Toughh course, mostly uphill with plenty of blind Tee shots. Managed a 94 with some ****** rentals went 46, 48. Man I wish I had my sticks. I am pleased with my short game of late. Gotta practice!!

I didn't buy any...strawberry lemonade. I should have bought a six pack from her!

I don't know if she has seen the photos on the site. I gave her the domain name and told her that the photos would be there today. I'm sure she would like the photos and she saw them on the camera first. She obviously likes the attention.

Hopefully, I'll put up more eye candy photos like that and I am requesting photos for a gallery. Yes, I know that women want photos, too.

96 and 88 my last two rounds the last two days. Not good. And the 96 was in a tournament. I was 3 over through 6 and then made 2 8's in 3 holes. Ouch.

Taking a turn for the worse...Shot 106 Saturday, worse score in months. Shot 95 yesterday, not too great either, but was only 9 over on 13 holes - good for me. It's the other 5 that did me in - 2 doubles, two trips and a quad. 14 strokes in 5 holes - miserable. 4 three putts and 4 penalty strokes didn't help either. On the bright side, that stretch of 13 holes was really nice; good ball striking.
