I shot a 50 last night in my 9-hole league. Holed a chip from just off the green to save a bogey on one hole, and blew up for a 10 on the final hole (a par 5 that always gets me). My best score in league play so far...

Shot a 3 under 33 from the back tees (3500 yrds). Played for the first time with my new driver (Callaway FT-3 8.5 and Mizuno 53 and 60 degree wedges). I think I'm going to like them....I think I'm going to like them alot.

I played alright I guess, I couldn't putt. I ended up with a 49 for 9, I would be happy with it, but it isn't where I need to be for the High School team, I need to be mid 40's at absolute worse, but that probably won't get it done either.

I shot 81 today. I shot 44-37 on a par 71. It didn't help that I was walking when it started to pour rain on the 4th hole. I kept playing, though. This is my 2nd best round ever and my best at my home course which is closing tomorrow for good. At least I birdied 18 to go out with a bang!

I'm happy with how I scored today...mostly from much improved putting. I had complete confidence putting today. I switched to a conventional stance a few weeks ago and it has been paying off lately. I had 29 putts in 10 GIR today and shot 1 over in a men's league weekly tournament. I shot 2 under on the back nine and had all 3's and 4's.

Here is my scorecard. Everyone can share their cards online like this.

Do you think that this being a week off in the weekly GR league had anything to do with me having my best round? I hadn't thought about it until now hehe...what timing...

Sorry, no beer cart girl pictures attached to this round, but you can find her at the site.

FOR...I too had my best round (since I got home, anyway), just yesterday!! I wonder if perhaps someone put a curse on Boomer's Bombers? Great round though.

Anyway, I shot a 1 over 74 last night...and I do mean last night. I got to the course at 7:30 and finished up right at 10 in the dark. I hit a wonderful 8 iron into #18...had about an 8-10 footer, took the flag out, stooped down behind the ball to check for the line (why? It's dark!), and realized I couldn't see where the cup was. Anyway, I could see the ball roll up and lip out, but tapped in for a 2 under 35 on the back with 11 putts. Overall I hit 10 fairways, 8 GIR and 25 putts. At one point I had 7 one putts in a row (from 8, 15, 20, 5, 15, 8, and 2 feet), which was very nice.

I shot 75 (par 71) yesterday, had a 38 on the tougher, par 36 side, 37 on the easier, par 35 side. I had great birdie chances on the back on two easy par 5s, but blew both and just got a par. Made me pretty mad.

I shot a 12 over, 67 (there was 1 par 4, only 141 yards all down hill, took about a half shot SW) today on the par 3 course, not very good. Only had one 1-putt, and it took me 3 or 4 shots to get on the green on that one because I blocked my tee shot way right, tried to play a flop shot over a tree and got it too high and landed short, then got it on. I think I only hit about 11-13 greens, good for a championship course but bad for par 3, especially since most of the shots were with a SW, a few with a PW, and one 8 iron.

The course is in the middle of some hole changes...#9 was converted from a par 4 (and a tough one at that!!) to a par 5, while #11 will be moving from a short par 4 to a longish par 3. They haven't begun to build the new green for #11 yet so I'm guessing that we'll be playing it as a par 73 for at least the next year.

i shot a 42 on a par 35 yesterday with one triple and one double that shouldve both been straight up pars becauase of bad tee shots and badly guaged distances... on #2 i had a close up and down to execute and had a horrible chip that shouldve been much closer and had 5 pars, 1, 3, 7, 8, and 9.

Pistol vs Mr Bogey Epic Battle June 17 06 (sunny 62 degree morning, 86 by end) White tees (6600 yards)

Front nine - All square
Back nine - Pistol wins 1 up
Overall - Pistol wins 1 up

Once again tie score but Pistol wins the Nassau match 1 up - in last 15 or so matches we have about 10 score ties, but Pistol won the match in about 7 of them and we tied a couple and I won ONE. In the non-ties we have each won a few - the matches and the scoring have been really tight every time, but the $$$ seems to end up in Pistol's pocket....

Gross Scores Pistol (37-36=73), Mr Bogey (39-34=73) - Pistol wins 1 US Dollar

06 Match record: Pistol 31 Mr. Bogey 11 Tied 10
Pistol has $28.00 lead
