Myself, I had an 80 yesterday...my last 4 rounds have been 74, 75, 79, 80...getting worse as I go. Hopefully there are a few rounds to go before the snow sticks to improve upon that.
Funny how cooler weather and wind kind of cause that!
shot a very good round today (82) with huge drives, an awesome shortgame, and great putting... the irons were meteoker (sp?). Tried out an MP60, MP32, and an MX 23 and next summer im prolly gonna get myself some MP60s... They were awesome... the vokey was great, gonna buy a hibore fairway wood in a week or two and keep trying out the R7 460 with 10.5* and a V2 Reg in it... smashed drives on 16, 17 and 18 all of which led to pars...
I had an odd round today. I started cold, with bogeys on 1,3,4. Then I heated up, with birdies on 5,7,8, and had a 15 footer for 1 under on 9 - missed. So par 36 on front. Then I couldn't get outta my own way on the back, making 4 bogeys, with 3 putts on 16 and 17. But out of nowhere on the windy last hole I ran down a 15 footer for bird and 39 for a 75 total.
Pistol was in a RMGA (Retired Military Golf Assoc.) event today and I didn't get to see him after the round, but he gets to play the Senior tees in those things and generally goes pretty low.
Played 10 holes yesterday before I quit (crowded course...at that point I was 3 1/2 hours in!!!)...too bad though as I was +4 and feeling good (save for the fact that each hole was taking 20-30 min to play)...shot of the day was a birdie that I chipped in from about 3 feet off the green and 40 feet of rollout...almost holed a 25 foot putt on the next hole with a lip hanger and the rest of the day went along the same lines...no three putts and a handful of up and downs kept me going...

I played one of the best rounds of my life today. I played in the RMGA tournament from the "senior" tees but it still measures at around 6200 yards. I had 8 birdies, 2 bogeys and 1 double for a 68. The bad part of my round was I bogeyed 2 reachable par 5s and doubled a drivable par 4. I'm debating on playing tomorrow but I have played 7 out of the last 8 days.
Didn't go today but this round was yesterday. Shot a personal best by 8 shots, and ended up with an 88. A friend of mine let me use his Nike Ignite driver and it helped a lot for me, had some amazing tee shots that I didn't know I was capable of. Overall it was my best round by far, but still some room for improvement. My best whole was the 1st (par 4, 325 yards). Having never swung the driver I hit it about 290 straight down the fairway, chipped it to about 8 feet, and putted it in for birdie (only one of the round).
87 (+17) it was really wierd it was a good score but i played so poorly, the thing that saved me was my short game. I was sinking putts from everywere any distance, and from 25 yards out, it was 2 shots in the hole, otherwise disapointing though back to back birdies followed by back to back pars.
Nice job. Did you win the tournament? A 68 should do the trick.
Yes. Our tournament is broken into teams and individual. We have a monthly tournament and based on your previous rounds we have points we have to pull. You get 1 point for a bogey, 2 for par and 4 for birdies. Coming into yesterday I had to pull 38 points. I pulled 48 which may be a record for our association. Now I have to live with being called a sandbagger for awhile.
