I shot an 88 at a course I've never played before. It was Thunder Bayou in Blytheville, AR. Played from the blues, from the blacks the yardage is 7200, 6900 from the blues. It was a super nice day. It was still a little chilly though. I had 3 penalty strokes and three 3 putts so it wasn't a horrible round but not a great round either, but most importantly I spent the day playing golf.

Shot a 91 yesterday afternoon (47 front, 44 back) If it is possible, I was really happy with my game yesterday even though my score doesn't show it. My putter was already on Thanksgiving vacation, so I figure that if it would have been around the 38 putts I had would have been considerably less! (I had a 4 putt on one hole! ) I got to play with a real good friend of mine from out of town though, so the score didn't matter.

Not much action on this thread lately!

Today was the polar opposite of the way I played in the club championship last week. I hit 13/14 fairways - the one I missed I was 67 yds to the pin from a perfect lie. I hit 13 greens and putted from the fringe on 2 more. I had makeable birdies all day - I just didn't make em - and three putted two eagle tries. So I had a 34 putt round, three more putts from the fringe, 38-34=72 - didn't putt bad, just nothing is going in. Makes a big difference when the knees don't hurt. Pistol is on the road, so no match...

Played 18 at the regular course and had a so so day. Shot 83 with 29 putts and 12/13 fairways. Only 1 GiR... that was annoying me. The irons and short game were switched off while the driving was down the middle all day and the putting was alright. I think having my contacts in my eyes has something to do with it because i always seem to play better when i have my contacts in... Didnt help that i didnt go on the putting green before my round though. Shot 44 on the front and 39 on teh back with a near chip in that felt great after two great shots on one of the longer par 4's. Made two really long par putts on 13 and 16. Overall i would rate my day a B- but an 83 isnt that bad at all. Im goin out tomarrow and im gonna bring my yardage book that i forgot today, have my contacts in, and rent the same R7 460 that i have been for the past few weeks. Theyre selling the demos starting next weekend and all of the montgomery county golf courses (theyre linked) are bringing all their demos and there's gonna be a huge sale. Cant wait!

Jeez, I hate to put this down, but I shot 88 this morning. I just could not get anything going. I missed a bunch of fairways and didn't make a single putt outside 4 ft. The wind was howling and on our course, that is a problem since the trees get it swirling around and make it confusing.

I don't feel too bad, some guys in our group with handicaps lower than mine didn't break 90.

wow, broke 80 in less than a year of playing!!! Shot 78 on sunday.. Started out the year shooting over 100 and now shooting low 80's and broke into the 70's (without mulligans lol). It felt great with a score like that even though most of the pars were up and downs... Missed very very many greens but the chipping/short game put me where i wanted to be and i made a few putts. Had 3 aweomse sand saves along with hitting every fairway on the back 9 and only missing two on the front. In addition to my 79 yesterday, i shot 82 on saturday after hitting EVERY fairway and making a lot of putts (the irons have been WAY off this weekend due to bad aiming). I cant wait until next year after a full winter of practice!

Congragulations on the improvement!!!

I, on the other hand, am in the middle of swing changes and it is driving me crazy!
Played today and was 15 over thru 14 holes...the irons, which I have been focusing on, were amazing...rescue shots were accurate, but I put 4 ob with the driver which I still haven't been able to "get" since my last session with the instructor...chipping was horrendous, mainly due to my new and improved action which is butter and feels really good as well as starting the ball on the intended line...problem is now I stroke it so much better with less effort that I am 10 feet past the hole...oooohhh practice...highlights were two par saves over 40 ft trees, one from 170 and the other from 225...driver again! I will be off to the practice green this afternoon...
