a pair of 84's on Saturday and Sunday at two different courses. Saturday was at a course that i haven't played that much, 6670 yards from the blues (7120 tips)but for some reason, the course management decided not to cut the greens for the weekend, and it's not like they weren't busy either. the length wasn't that bad, but the due on the greens from overnight was thick and varied from green to green. i can only imagine what they would have been like the next day.
Sunday, did well off the tee and putted very well. left quite a few strokes 90 to130 yards (normally my strength) and some near the greens.
I played my usual after school 9 and shot 40. Didn't hit the ball particularly well, only 2 greens, but I only had 14 putts. I think the book I just got from the library about the mental aspect of putting (Putting Your Mind Out by Dr. Bob Rotella) really helped.
Played 14 holes today...started rough and was +8 thru 5 then settled down and started playing...finished +11...was banging around the practice green yesterday and the pro gave me a free putting lesson for an hour...changed my grip and gave me some drills to work on...already seeing an improvement!

Yea, that's the best book for putting ever ay! ! ! It really helped me..
I shot 1 over par today, 74.. wasn't too bad, could've been alot better though. I had so many lip outs for birdies ugh! Oh well, maybe tomorrow.
Well, after that 40 I had the worst 9 I've played in probably 6 months- 48. I putted well again today, though. I double crossed myself all day, playing to hit a draw and hitting a fade.
thanks FoR and Bigvivec! Cant wait till next season... its starting to tone down a lil in maryland seeing as the temperatures are getting to 50 on a hot day and the days are starting out close to 20 (like thismorning). Ill be practicing by the hot stove!
Wow either I play a lot of golf or it's too cold everywhere else. 43 again today on a harder nine. I hit the ball very solidly, but couldn't putt to save my life and made a triple .
A few years ago I began tracking the matches between Pistol and myself, and quite interestingly with our last match I reached what has become an annual milestone. Take a look:
Year .. Mr Bo .. Pistol ... Ties
2004 ......25.......41....... 16
2005 ......25.......51....... 13
2006 ......25.......49....... 22
Pistol is a stroke to two strokes per round stronger than me, and has been for a few years (obviously); tho our matches are almost always quite close, Pistol has that edge. Before you start feeling too sorry for me, it wasn't always this way. I used to track group scoring and for several years I had that 1-2 stroke edge over Pistol. For the past three years it has cost me about 37 cents a round to play with Pistol - I think I can afford it. I should have a couple of chances left this year to get that big # 26!

That's pretty cool bogey. Do you keep track of them more in depth, too? I use mygolfrecord.com to keep track of mine.
