Had an up and down round today. Started off birdie, birdie, so I thought It would be a real good day. Ended up with 6 birdies on the card, three of which were on par threes. But even with 6 birdies, I could only muster a 77. I guess it's exceptable for not playing much lately.

Just got new Irons Yesterday and I am having a hard time Judging my distances.

Par'd all the par 3's.

i shot a 92 today. the par 3's were all disaster holes except for one par.
the par fours were pretty good, i had a couple pars, but my drives had flies on them all day long. the par 5's were disappointing, they were all short and if it wasn't for my chip in birdie on one of the par 5's i would have probably thrown my clubs into the iced over pond.

the conditions were hard, literally. i hit a sand wedge from 95 yards and once it hit the green right next to the flag, it took a ten foot high hop and bounced into the woods. got a bogey on what should have been a par. like i said before, it was bad drives that killed me. fore left all day. if you got me within 150 yards, though, i was deadly. that and my short game saved my game. it should have been an 88, but whatever, it'll come.

First round putting left handed, managed 12 holes and ended up +7. Not to bad really as I was +7 after 8. Hitting my irons really straight but not quite striking them (little heavy) & 3 putted a couple of holes (40ft+ range) but then holed some great putts over the last 4 holes. Its going to take some time to really get consistant with LH putting but am definately going to stick with it as I felt more confident. Just need to stike my irons a little better and should be in business.

I threw up garbage...88 and was all over the place...could not hit a green to save my life, and usually reliable greenside chips I was 0-9 before finally making an up and down...putting was off as well with all two putts save one one putt...sent two tee shots OB as well...go to practice again looking for answers...

I shot 80 yesterday. Good score for me, but I just had so many putts that I left dead center about a roll or two short. I guess that's what slow greens will do to you.

We both get off work at 4pm and work within 5 minutes of the course and only have time to play 9 before it gets dark. We play 18 on Saturdays and some holidays.

Had one of those great days...39-33--72. Seemed like everything went right, except the two 3-putts.

Wow...nice round, especially on the back. Always has to be some "coulda" though, eh? Still, a good score.

My sweet wife has been known to ask both my son and I when we return from the war, "well, what are your "if onlys" today?"
