86 on Sunday. played a different course that i'm normally in the low 90's. 7:15 tee time and foggy, could hardly see the pin from 150 yards out for the first couple of holes. turned out to be a gorgeous day in the low 80's.

Actually had what is for me, a great round. Sunny, around 80°, kinda windy. They started us on 10, which was great! Never saw another group in front or in back of us, but the course was busy (they have 27 holes). Ended up with a 46 on 10-18, with one eagle on a par 5. Then played 19-27, which I'd never played, and shot another 46! For me to make a 92 on this course, considering how I've been playing, I was very pleased! Last time we played there, I was in the 100s, so at least a 12-15 stroke diference this time. Was hitting driver solid, fairly straight, and had a couple of 270+ yard drives. Putter was working, and even iron shots were better, although still had a few mistakes.

I'm playing again tomorrow with some friends that like to have a little money on the game, so I hope I play as well as I did today!

We played Pelican Pointe in Venice. Yeah, I was hitting the Storm pretty nice as long as I kept a couple things in mind. One of them was that "stiff leg" problem you told me about (thanks! wish you'd said something before the 18th hole, though!). I've also started using a waggle to keep me loose and swinging easy.

Played again today, on a course I'd never been on, and shot 48-45 for a 93! Two low-90s rounds in a row! I'm pushing my luck and playing again tomorrow at the course I played yesterday.

Today I couldn't hit a straight drive to save my life. It was great second shots, good wedge work and solid putting that kept me out of the 100s. If I could have hit it straight off the tee I'd have been in the 80s! Maybe tomorrow!

87. The person keeping the scorecard tried to pencil-whip me. When we first totalled up, I thought I'd shot 90. Then I saw the 9 he'd written down on a par 5 I'd bogied (bogeyed?) on the back 9. I freshed on 9, and won the hole. I freshed him again on 18 (turned out I was in the lead on the back side & didn't need to) and parred the hole to his bogey. (There will be a new scorekeeper next time we play.)

Played Boxing Day, weather was damp and cold and 7i was only carrying about 140 but adjusted for the conditions well.

Shot +6 over 9 holes (to handicap). Tee to green played well (6 of 9 GIR) but then short game was off. Putted ok, but rushed a few 3ft putts and so ended up with a few 3 putts. Could have quite easily been +3, but thats golf.

Yesterday played with friends on a course that had recently overseeded the greens. Unfortunately there had ben some rain and it was too wet to mow for a few days. They forgot to mention that when we made the te times!

Anyway, even with the greens looking like shag carpet, I was able to shoot 45-40 to win the round. Even had a few OB drives, but was able to scramble and make bogeys.

Playing again today!

82 on Saturday at a fairly easy cours and 89 on Sunday at my home course. started out well on the front nine on Sunday and about the 6th hole, started to get tired (sleepy) and started to fall apart. at the turn, grabbed a cup of coffee and played much better.

Mr Bogey and I were the walking wounded yesterday. Mr. Bogey was playing with a pulled groan muscle and I had a very stiff lower back. Mr. Bogeys birdie was on the 375 yard first hole with a driver and 20* hybrid for his second shot and mine came on a par 5 with my 3rd shot being a 7 iron from 130 yards. We had to look the site trying to make our way around the course.

Played yesterday and didn't do as well as I had been doing, but didn't completely lose it. The last few times I'd played this course, we played from the white tees for my friend Dave's benefit (he's 72) and this time they paired us with 2 guys about my age, so we played blues and let Dave play the white.

We teed of at 12:35, and I had not eaten any lunch. Had a bagel with peanut butter about 8:30am, and some coffee, and that was it. By the 12th hole I was feeling kind of puny, losing concentration, etc. Didn't have time to stop by the clubhouse between nines. Shot 44 on the front, but a 51 on the back. On one hole I hit into water 3 times - a bad drive that went left and rolled down the hill into the hazard, dropped and hit short of clearing the water by 3 inches, dropped and hit, ball landed on slope and rolled down into water, dropped and hit over the green. This is the same hole I had birdied (twice) or parred (once) the last 3 times we played!

Definitely going to have to get some energy bars and keep them in the bag.
