Can't be officially recorded because I was playing as practice rounds and hit a few extra balls when I messed up a shot. I still played the messed up shot but the extras took it away from being a legal round. Shot a 79 and 88. The second round had three doubles on the back, two bogies, three pars and one birdie. Two of the doubles came from lost ball on one and lateral hazard on the other. Has some great long drives and a couple of iron shots that were worth the round but in general iron play was a bunch of heel hits that were close to being full shanks. Had a bunch of partial shanks that kept the ball in play but right of target. I guess more work is needed. Short game was still real good though and saved a some bad play.
terrible. 49, 40 for a grand total of 89... a bit lop-sided?... I know. putted horrifically on the front until i switched back to my TPA for the back 9. hit a par 5 in 2, hit some great wedge shots and played pretty solid other than the short game.
My goal was to shoot 35...get under par and stay there. I made a long birdie putt on #8 to get back to Even and missed a short birdie putt on #9...close.
last saturday I did a 45 on the back 9 of French Woods in Hancock, NY... Guess I'm doing OK given I've only been playing 8 weeks. Am finding out it's more fun to hit over the trees of the Dog leg than to follow the bend....
After starting with two bogeys, I played the last 16 holes +2, and the last 13 holes +1.
5/13 Fairways (meh, felt like it was better than that)
10/18 Greens (much better than recent rounds!)
32 putts (no 3 putts, couldn't make anything outside 10 feet though)
Dropped the handicap to 5.8, we'll see if I can repeat it next round.
I played both courses at Soldier Hollow Sunday. This was my first time to play there.
It's a really fun layout especially on the more challenging Gold course. The architecture won an award.
We got caught in a huge storm on the last nine on the Silver course. It was still fun and I hit a few great shots in the storm. How about a 3 wood against the 50-60 MPH (?) wind from 200 yards out hehe...ended up 6 feet away and three putted...broke a crazy amount on the comebacker downwind. I hit a driver on the next hole against the wind, a par 3 from about 215 yards...seemed like a good idea, but I went long...should have hit the 3 wood again hehe.
43--started out great, for me...3 over through six, then chunked three chips on seven after chipping in the hole before. Go figure.
Ended up going double-par-double to close it out. Overall, I was pretty happy with the round, especially with my putting....some really nice drives, a few errant shots (mostly due to lapses in concentration), but otherwise no stupid decisions that left me wondering what could have been.
Basically just a nice afternoon in the sun.

75....doubled the second hole...a par 5...hit the drive OB...after that it was a bunch of workman like pars...nothing spectacular...games coming around...i can feel it
Went out and played 9 today and shot a 49. Might not seem nuch to dance about but after a 120 yesterday I was happy with it. Now if I can just keep it going after the blow up.
