played 9 shot a 49....played an extra 4 holes and was 4over on those....playing this weekend at Tanglewood championship course....home of the 74 PGA championship....second time there hope the day goes well...
broke 90 today for the first time. shot an 89. i have only been playing about 3 months so this is pretty big for me. i only 3 putted once which is a big leap for me. got a birdie on the par 5 2nd. ball striking still needs a lot of work, though. i feel good about my game right now.
A friend and I went golfing today and he shot a 37 and a 33 for a 70 and (par was 68, 34- 34) and i shot a 38, 34 for a 72, not bad for being 13 and my first year of golfing, but the place we went doesnt have a driving range and so we couldn't warm up, the wind was blowing, and we weren't really trying the front 9. but not making excuses, i'm happy with 72. it was an easier course, but its also a very hilly course, it isnt are home course, but are course had a tourny going on, so we went to this one, which is easier but you have alot of blind shots, so you want to pay attention before you go down a hill so you know where the green is

shot a 90 today. parred the first but struggled badly off the tee. hit my hybrid about 225 onto the 5th green, which felt GREAT. nothing like that feeling you get when you hit that ball square.
good question.
it depends what course i play.
my home course i dont carry my 3-wood.
i just use the extra wedge for running chips inside 20 yards on most greens. i find it more useful than my 3-wood because the greens are so big and i like the wegde for long chips that run.
oh and today i just played nine and struggled for a 40. 2 doubles and no birds
