Shot 92 on a challenging par 72 course: Gleanloch Pines. Happy with it as I usually hit 90's on my regular muni, which is slightly easier. But today shot over 100 playing from the tips over 7300 yards at Memorial Park with narrow fairways and OB on the sides on many holes. I never play from the tips, but twosome that I got paired with hit from the tips and I didn't want to be the only one hitting from the middle tee. They guy that wanted to play from the back tee is around 60 years old, and hit it a mile, he's in some kind of champions tournament I found out later. Hit par 5 in two from the tips. Jeez. One time he drove it nice and it landed close to 300 yards away, a good 70-80 yards longer than my drive on that hole.
Shot an 88 yesterday. Couldn't find my swing at all on the front nine and was lucky I only shot 46. The swing showed up for the back nine at least. Shot 42 even though I had 2 doubles.
The snow just melted on the course across the street from where I work. I took off work at the usual time and finished at sunset. I was last to start, last to leave, and saw very few people playing.
I was rusty...hadn't played since mid November and my sciatica was bothering me, but I could make a decent swing.
I managed to par a very, very difficult starting hole. I had to hit a hybrid over water on the approach shot and landed safely a little to the right of the green then got up-and-down from there.
I pulled most of my irons...very stiff, but hit a few good drives and other shots.
Posted 40 for nine holes par 35. I had a quadruple bogie on hole 8...**** OB and 3 putt the number 1 handicap on the course. Still a big improvement over last week's god awful 58.
Shot 85 on a medium length, but easy course. No bunker, very few holes with water, flat fairways and fairly flat green. Made some 6 footers, but my long putts were way off distance wise, as I just bought new putter yesterday.
The weather was better than expected this weekend and I got in my first 18 hole round...then played another 18 holes today hehe.
Rusty, stiff, bad back golf still, but the back didn't bother me as much. My putting is really pathetic so far...need to do a lot better especially on the short putts.
I think I got too much sun today...been a long time since I felt that.
I played a course Saturday with terrible greens. I wasn't surprised, but today I was surprised at how good the condition the greens were in at another nearby course. Very nice for any time of year.
I went out and played 18 today and shot a personal best of 90. I shot a 46 going out and 44 coming back in. I managed a round with out any snowmen and if I had been able to avoid two holes of 7 then I would have been in the 80's. My swing felt better todya than it ever has.
I played today... and I already accomplished my season goal, and the season doesn't even officially start for 3 more days. I guess I have to hang up the clubs for the year now. My goal was to break 80... today I shot 76. And the funny thing is that my driver was horrid. But almost everything else was absolutely pure. 24 putts... 14 pars and 4 bogies. Probably the most consistent round I've played in more than 10 years.
Now I have to try and come up with a new goal for the season.
shot an 80.. first time out for a while.. it was a 9 hole course that i went through and played twice. (my home course) shot 41 on the front and 39 on the back, 8 bogies, and 10 pars. I was kind of rushing and not taking my time, so I may have had a couple more puts go in if I would have taken my time, I hit most fairways but not that many gr's most of my approach shots I left 3 feet off any side of the green (mostly because my yardages have changed with newer clubs).
I play good by myself or with friends, but when an adult gets around, or people are watching me I don't play as good, but this year I am playing in alot of tournaments, not just leagues.. Do you think I will get over it?
Played today on a 6000 yard course and managed an 85. Played the whole round using the new Top Flite Freak ball. Not bad at all, nice distance and I liked the ball's feel.

Great round Rick If we can't get everyone together there in the Denver area then when you come out here next we need to try and get together for a round.
24 putts Fourputt?! Nice. That would drop 8-9 strokes off of my usual game. I had the usual 16 putts in my 9 hole round today...not getting close on approaches and not chipping well enough.
