I played in my first tournament this season...a Utah Golf Association annual tournament at Schneiter's Bluff.

I did seven strokes before than my previous best in this tournament. I shot a 1 over 73 and should be in the money. I had a 2 handicap for the tournament.

I didn't think it would be much fun because it was snowing in the morning at my place. It turned out ok...breezy and chilly, but not too bad.

It's nice to start off my tournaments with one of my best scores...probably the best score I've posted for a UGA tournament.

Played with my dad and grandfather today. Dad had an 82, grandfather gave us a butt whooping with a 78 (played from mens tees like us, he's just really good), and I hada bad day with an 83. Front nine was horrible with a 44. Had 1 birdie on the back and shot a 39.

played pretty good today. swing changes are starting to have the desired effect on my ball flight. i've always had an extremely high ball flight so i spent the offseason trying to get a more penetrating ball flight. seemed to work well today, it was windy and i didn't struggle with the wind at all. anyways... played at a resort course a few miles from my home, shot a +1, 73. 37 on the front and 36 on the back. hit 9/14 fairways, 9/18 GIR, and had 28 putts. my iron play was great, my misses still left me a easy up and down. it was only my 2nd round with the new putter, but i've been deadly with it :)

Today was my first round with my new irons (MP-32). Just had the grips changed and the lie adjusted.

#1 Par (4) fairway, green, 2 putts
#2 Par (3) fringe, green, 1 putt
#3 Par (4) fairway, green, 2 putts
#4 Par (3) green, 2 putts
#5 Double Bogey (7) poor second shot, had to drop out of a ditch then punch out
#6 Bogey (5) fairway, green, 3 putts
#7 Bogey (5) drove through fairway, punch out, green, 2 putts
#8 Birdie (3) fairway, green, 4ft putt
#9 Birdie (3) fairway, green, 4ft putt

Front 9 summary (+2 37): I hit my irons REALLY well. My putts hurt me a little. Holes 5 and 7 are two of the toughest on the course and one bad shot on each one cost me a little. Very please with the approaches on 8 and 9.. both stuck about 4ft from 125-130 yards.


#10 Triple Bogey (8) - Hit a poor drive and hit tree twice trying to punch out. Enough said

Back 9 Summary (+7 43) - I hit the ball very well, but didn't score well. #10 I just got in trouble on the tee and couldn't do much about it. #17 I don't know what happened. I made two really poor drives off the heel - I haven't hit a single drive that bad in the last 2 years, and I hit two in a role on one hole! Yikes.

Overall (+9 80), I can't complain too much. I hit some really great shots. The bad ones I hit were bad enough to really get me in trouble and hurt me. I parred both of the 190 yard Par 3's, and was very pleased about that.

I played the three Par 5's 8 over par. Their lengths are 482, 485, and 423 (bad dogleg, plays tough). With my length, I can reach them all in two, and I can't afford to give up 8 strokes on these holes.

I'm glad some of you got to play golf today. North GA was all thunderstorms, hail, and tornadoes today. No great loss for me since it'll be a few more weeks before the Dr. will let me play anyways.

walked 9 holes today. played a pretty flat and open course. shot a +1 37. weather was cold and windy. fairways were as saturated and i got no roll. off the tee i was pretty good, i hit 6 out of 7 fairways. irons were typical, hit 6/9 GIR. putting wasn't too bad, all my misses were online but just came up a little short. i'm really ready for some warm, dry weather to see how my game is then.

96, Man it was a tough day!

haha.. would've been a good round without the triple and the quad... how on earth did you "shank" your driver? Is it offset or something? haha

77 today in a qualifier, got screwed because they only took top 16, not top 16 and ties. I was in a 5 man playoff for 1 spot, yeah Someone birdied outright. and took it first hole. But 77 wasent all that bad considering it rained for 5 holes, and was windy and just plain wet all day.

It's men's league time here...just starts tomorrow. Cool.

It was horrible. I hit them both right off the hozzle. It's a wonder the stinking club didn't break!

I shot 47 today on nine holes, which is pretty bad for me. I couldn't get my putter to work...I had 3 3-putts and a triple....I think i'm going to work hard on my short game this week.

Played quite well today.
77 on a par 72. All temp greens though.
Only missed one fairway, 5/18 greens. I had the right distance was just off with the direction.
29 putts.

First men's league 9 hole tournament of the season.

I had five penalty strokes...five more in 9 holes than I had Friday in 18 holes in the state tournament hehe.

What a beautiful day, too...it was sunny and I was playing in jeans and t-shirt.
