A very up and down round with a bunch of birdies and bogies to finish up one over. Oh well, at least I made 3 good sand saves for par. Was happy to get to play after rain and wind from TS Fay the past few days.
No golf for me today...had to work 7-7 at the annual USANA International Convention again today. I missed out on the weekly noon game in the men's league. Oh well, it's a big change from being at the desk all day...something very different.
Their conventions are huge with tons of money spent and made. We have both the Energy Solutions Arena and next door Salt Palace Convention Center for the week. They put on a good show and the attendees are very enthusiastic about being there and representing their country...Mexico was loud. It was cool when I entered the arena with other employees to hand out flags...the audience was loud then...probably just waiting for something to cheer for before the show started hehe.
I'm a day late again. Had a 64 yesterday in which I putted like Tiger. Well, maybe like an infant ocelot, taking 23 putts for 18 holes and missing only three shots all day (two drives and one long iron). Getting ready to hunker down here in the Florida Panhandle as the storms seem ready to visit us again this year.

**** billy thats a **** of a round. I shot a 79 today with 2 birdies and a couple 3 putt bogeys. Was happy overall with the round. Used my new driver and hit 11/14 fairways..
Not sure what I shot. I went out this morning and tried to work some things out that I am having trouble with, and didn't bother keeping score. Lined everything out except for putting. If I had to guess I would say a 42 or so.
How golf will reach up and bite you. After playing well and having a few super rounds this past month, I shot a 79 today, putting at one birdie in the first 14 holes and generally stinking up the course with a 77. Lord knows what my score could have been if my chips around the green hadn't been zeroing in. Anyway, it was a good humbling experience that makes the good games so much sweeter.
48 today which was very dissapointing. Only one 3 putt but I went back to slicing everything which made it all somewhat discouraging. Maybe only hit 3 fairways off the tee. I hit an 8 iron from a good ways out and stuck it right on the pin the and tapped in for par. I also hit some really good shots with a new pitching wedge that I got to roll back towards the hole. Today was our first day of school so I had to get out to the course and play some after all the teachers lecturing us.
Shot my best 9 hole score every today, and it was in competition too. At my high school's first golf match I had the low score of the day with a +1 36. Birdied the first, parred the next 6, then bogeyed 8 and 9. Very pleased overall.
played after work yesterday... shot 73 with a double and two bogeys.
only good thing about the round... i hit my new driver for the first time and had approach shots that i've never had on a lot of holes(two clubs different on most)
Last week when in the Algarve region of Portugal I shot 84 at Valla da Pinta. Not bad considering I never played the course before and I had to use rented gear. Very nice course and there were many others in this region. I guess a good deal of Brits come down to Portugal for golf (their Myrtle). Anyway, I represented the US fairly well....can't complain......
Another frustrating day. My game has seems to have two speeds only: full on or awful. Had a 78 in which I hit the ball well and putted acceptably, just missed shots in the worst places. But, I suppose a 78 with 3 double bogies isn't the end of the world.
I haven't been playing much this year due to a major illness, but today was the first in a few months. I shot a 90. It's decent for me, hit alot of 3 putts, but the rest of the day seemed like I was playing like never before. Nailing my drives. Holed out from about 35 yards. Rimmed a few from over 30 feet. For me, it was a great feeling that was surely missed for quite some time. I think I will shed a tear now. Until next time...
