Re: What did you shoot today?

Played Saturday and Sunday, that makes 3 days in a row. Not something I like to do, but my club was playing another in a "Home and Home" Ryder Cup style match. Miserable day on the first at my course as I gave my partner little support and we got trounced. Yesterday my putter finally showed up. We were the last ones on the course and the deciding match. We came from 2 down to win as my partner birdied 15 and 16, while I went under par on both of the last 2 holes and we won 2 up. Life is good!

Re: What did you shoot today?

I have been shotting quite good these past two days. My handicapp is 23

Yesterday I shot 86(44-42) and 85(45-40) today. My putting has been excellent if I keep this up my handicap will drop in no time. :)

Re: What did you shoot today?

Went out yesterday in the wind & very claggy conditions with my new Irons.the course I played had lots of very small greens, the sort where you'd struggle to park a ford transit van. & where just beyond or to one side of those small greens was an out of bounds hedge, so risking going long was out of the question, so you either had to be accurate, or lay up, hence why I shot an 92 on this quite short track over 18 holes.

New Irons working great though.. Can really recommend S57 irons to anyone.

Re: What did you shoot today?

Shot my best round ever today and beat my dad for the first time ever with a +3 75. No double bogeys, which is unusal. I had 2 3-putt bogeys which always tick me off. But birdieing the two hardest par 4s #16 and #17 made it a little better. My short iron play was very inconsistent, I had a few I put within 15 feet, but the rest were all over the place. The driver treated me well, only missed 2 or 3 fairways.

Re: What did you shoot today?

I played 18 this afternoon and once I put the driver away and just hit with my irons my game went great. Shot a 42 on the front and a 47 on the back for a total of 89. My best round since getting back into golf this year. Overall I have been hitting mid to low 90's so to break that 90 mark was nice!!

Shot an 84 (from the tips) at Nob North in Cohutta, GA today. My best round ever. 39 on front, and 45 on back. 10 pars but no birdies

Re: What did you shoot today?

What a difference a week makes. Had my worst round in some years today, shooting an 82 with four doubles on the front nine. At least I played the last six holes one under, or the score would have been even higher. Oh yes, and I was so happy to get my handicap down to 1 last week. Eeeccchhh!

Re: What did you shoot today?

New Ping Irons holding up well & performing better. Flight higher than I'd really like, but this is down to me not being able to change the order from AWT shafts to Zed-zed65 shafts in time. Still even then flight does penetrate well & when I choose the right ball to play with them I know I'll be really happy.

Anyhow,... My round today on the Parr 30 9 hole course was as follows
first 9 in 36, +6 with 18 putts.
second 9 32, +2 with 15 putts
total 68 +8

best so far this year on this course. Not bad.
Lets see if I can do better than 108 on the main course.Really glad I got the Ping S57 irons. The 18" G10 hybrid is working well too, Finally found a hybrid I like, may get the 15" G10 to replace my 3 wood, as the 18" has replaced my 5 wood, as well as being of a similar distance to my 3 iron. Yeah I know hybrids are not fairway woods, but the Ping Hybrid is a good compromise.

Re: What did you shoot today?

Had a smooth 71 with only three bogies (10, 11 & 13). Finished with a birdie on the last hole. So much better than the 82 a week ago.

Re: What did you shoot today?

in tha past week i have shot 40, 40, 39. In school 9 hole matches from the back tees. Then today there was a tournament with 12 teams there. each having 6 kids. We played a pretty challenging course and played from the tips. I had to hit a hybrid or fairway wood to most greens. I shot an 82. 40. 42. With only one birdie. ahh bad putter! I ended up 7th overall with an 82. With the best score being a 75. When some of these kids on the other teams consitently shoot under par. Thats how tough the course was. I was pleased with my game besides my putter.

Re: What did you shoot today?

Another 71 today. The difference was my short game. Turns out the head on my putter was loose. Changed putters for the third time in the last 15 years and things settled down.
