Penalty doesn't matter when I didn't even finish the round anyway. No one found the final score, so it's all good. But it's good to know that for future reference

I played decently today.

Since I'm playing in a junior tournament at St. David's Golf Club tomorrow, I practiced on the front nine and played for real on the back. I started out in bad shape from 1-5, but I got into the groove and parred 6 (a par-5), 7 (a short par-4), and 8 (VERY tricky hole. Here's the layout: Tees, 160 yards of water, then green). On that hole, I hit a crisp 6-iron shot and landed within 10 feet of the hole.

On the back, I made a couple mistakes here and there, but I got a 50 on the par-36 nine. A 50 on the back is pretty good for me since the rating is 36.5 and the slope is 135 (A 50 on the back is more like a 48 on the front).

So if I kept going and played the front nine the same as I played the back, I would have had a 98 which isn't too shabby for me.

Anyway, I should be playing great tomorrow since I worked out the kinks I had in my swing yesterday.

I shot a 77 today which is maby a little lower than average, but nothing outstanding.
I was happy wioth the way i struck the ball the first 5 holes. There were 40 km/h winds so it was a tough day, but i am used to it so i do not notice it much anymore. I was really mad though, i hit my driver on a hole into the wind as best i can with an all out swing and watched it soar out there only to balloon on me. But i can only imagine had that been one hole eariler on the down wind hole and would have probably been hitting 7 or 8 iron into a par 5, no jokes. I am hopefully going tomorrow with my dad to play a course where i have a tournament later this month just tpo know what it is like, supposed to be an unreal tough course my friend said. He is about a 3 handicap and he is 18 and he said that he played pretty good and struglled to break 80, so it should be a tester, he diod end up shooting 78 though.

Shot a 47 today at a really, really hilly course. (9 holes). Pretty good score for me.

P.S. Love the "Juice Head" sig, Greg. Brings back fond golfing memories

Like the yardage on #12. :D

Oh yea, totally. That course was a great course. Especially our hole-in-ones on 18 ;)

*Ahem* 90, WITHOUT a single PAR! Also, it's a par-61 so that was a very easy feat without a single par. Ballstriking was way off today.

Shot a 90 in the pouring rain. Not too shabby, really, since I was using my "not so good" clubs.

I played a little practice round on a tough course. almost 7100 yards from the tips, and you have to drive it straight! Rating is 76.4 and 136 slope or something like that.
I shot an 82 (10 over), but really hit my irons poorly, perfect conditions. I really think i could have done really well if i hit my irons well, cause i was launching my driver and there was about 15 km/h winds which confused me sometimes. My L wedge saved me, pins were tucked crazy and i think without it i would have shot atleast 3 strokes higher. My putter wasn't hot, very streaky. Overall i am happy i guess, i know what it is like for my tournament in a few weeks now.
But really if i hit my irons good i could have tore that course apart. Only made 2 birdies, both of them i stiffed, one from 125 the other from 187 on a par 3 with a 6 iron. Should have made alot more pars though. The thing with my irons was i would mis judge them and they wrere hit perfect right at the pin, but short or long and if i was sure i had the right club i would hit the club like poop.

This morning I played at St. David's and shot a 108. Pretty bad. Funny thing is though, my long game wasn't off. It was just my short game that cost me oh let's see...10 strokes...

So, if my short game was on, I would have shot a 98.

After this, I ventured to my usual weekend retreat down at the Jersey Shore and played nine holes at Linwood CC.

I played the back (Moderate in skill [35.0/129]) and I shot a 49 which isn't so bad.

I played pretty great today. I shot a 91 at Linwood (+21). A few of my drives were a little wild, but other than that, I shot pretty straight. In fact, I played so well that my handicap trend is down to 21.6...

Great to hear about your handicap bates.
I played a lengthy little course a few minutes from my home town. Not a very hard course if you are a long hitter, i am not a super long hitter but i am not a short hitter so it played pretty difficult. Greens were not in great condition that is for sure.
But i played decent for the course being so long and having to get used to the greens, a 39 (4 over) which i'll take, just a new course but i didn't mind it. Some of the rough was bad too, but it was ok.
I was hitting my irons bad today which held me back a little, but i was launching my driver! I ****ed one right in between the middle of the club face and it was probably the longest drive of my life, swung hard cause i was a little mad at my 3 putt on the last hole but i was quite happy with the drive, not sure on exact yardage cause it was downhill and a bit of a cross wind/helping with you know what i mean? It ended up being my only birdie of the day on that hole cause i cosied a little 60* wedge up to about 5 feet or so and drained the straight in putt.
I got a tournament tomorrow but it is not supposed to be nice and it may be cancelled because itis supposed to pour all night and 40 km/h winds so we'll see but i feel pretty good going into the tournament about my game.

91, 30 over par. Bad, just bad. Meh, not all that bad, but I missed a few opportunities for birdie. I gotta get my tee shots on par 3s closer.
