Shot 73 gross today, one birdie and two bogeys. Best ever round. WHY? I wish I knew.

Short game was sharp, 29 putts and only one failed up and down.Basically the luck went with me,when I hit it a bit fat I had too much club, when I hit it a bit thin I had too little and I ended up in the middle of the green. Next week I'll hit it better and won't break 80. Today was a day when I loved the game and it loved me.

It was very, very windy, a bit chilly and misty today. Still played though. Shot 13.

Played "The Horn" 1, 8, 18. Par 5, Par 3, Par 4. One over on the day...lol.

Good for him, It'd be a good move, the "power draw" I recall Mark having could be interesting.

Practice ..............havn't done any so far, could be a novelty I guess

Anyway, shot an 85 (nett 67) today, especially happy with that considering the first four holes were disasters

Cheers,
Jim

Thrash me off the stick pffftttt ...... this will be the only year you'll have a chance, cos' next year I'm going to bring my handicap down and practice everyday :nodsmiley

id give up breathing if I shot 126 ....
nah ....any golf is better than no golf

finally got the clubs out today ....snuck out for 9 holes
its been a whole WEEK omg !
the necks still not right , but i took it gently and actually hit 6 of the 9 greens in Reg ...in howling winds on our course thats probably one of my betterer efforts

Jim - Marks left because of the rubbish going on with our match comittee ..a few others are going too .. im staying tho
can rub their noses in it more that way i think ...hehehe

your right about Mark ....trying to drive every green is going to cost him a lot of money in balls
not to mention clubs , as you know when the balls run out he starts smashing things .....haha

Yesterday I played an ambrose.....

- a team of four... all tee off.... take best shot.... all play from there ..... and continue doing that until the ball is in the hole!

You really thought I shot a 60 by myself

I am not familiar with the term "ambrose," in fact I've never heard of it before. We call those "scrambles" over here. I assumed you were just playing a really easy course with a low par called "Ambrose." Silly me..

Oddly enough I can picture you enjoying that

86 (nett 68) today, quite happy with the way things are going at the moment........however long it lasts

Tried out a Taylormade 58 deg Sand wedge today......after the first two hits it was a sale. Trouble is the 60 deg Lob is now a wee bit redundant, looks like a Nike (seems no one else makes anything over 60 anymore) 62 degree Lob is on the horizon.......unless I can work on the Club Pro into selling his 64 Cleveland.....

Cheers, Jim
