I hope that you left your purse at home, GG. The odds of beating your true handicap by 10 strokes are about 1,500-to-1. Sounds like a big time sand-bagger there.

I have some serious sunburn...... -as pink as a pig, man! it's going to hurt tonight, that'll teach me for not wearing sunsreen

oh yea.... I had a huge drive on the last hole today 215 meters (the lady I was playing with said it's not too bad for a little stick figure like me )

I won 5 golf balls, oooooohhhh that brings my total balls that the pro owes me to: 10 golf balls.... I'll wait until I win a few more, then I'll take home my stash of golf balls hehehe

89 at Rawhiti today, played Match Play against RR, kept it even until the last hole when the Jam Factory went into full swing after hooking his drive into the trees.

All in all a most enjoyable round, pity the second one at Avondale wasn't as good, didn't even finish it arter the rain started to get rather too heavy.

Cheers,
Jim

Jim wasnt terrible precise or correct in his post

what he didnt say was that he got caught out trying to cheat on the 11th
and that i was experimenting with various swings thruout the match which let him be square with 2 holes remaining
a birdie for half on #17 was followed by a drive "bouncing off a tree to go deep into the woods" rather than a simple hook
the shot of the day left me an 18inch tap in birdie to win on the last
was a great game all the same ...neither of us deserved to win to be fair

played again this afternoon ....a little more seriously
1 over par .......parred the back 9 which was good seeing as i only hit 2 GIR argh
we dont walk off in the rain at our course Jim .....take a bowl of milk with ya next round aye ... ya

wasnt an excuse ....it was the only reason the game wasnt over before we hit the 14th hole

did i or didnt i step up when it counted and finish with back to back birdies ?
hahaha i still got no idea how i got out of those trees let alone beside the pin .....
i had another look 2nd time around ....i was dead for all money the old guy i was playing with couldnt believe even a par was possible from there lol

we shall have a return match at your course and a tie breaker if needed on neutral ground ....

Hmmmmm I seem to recall two rather 'unorthodox' drives that some of the old 'Craigs' was desperately need to get those birdies.......

Look for to the next at Avondale

Cheers,
Jim

We're going to hear a lot of that for the next few months. I think the winter break helps us Northerners appreciate the game more. Every sport has an off season so players can take needed breaks from their games. This allows us to come back rejuvenated and with an added fervor for the game!
