I played decently today. Shot a 47 on the back at Linwood (35.0/129)...

I birdied the 10th hole (105 yard par 3) and parred the 17th (512 yard par 5)

Add in a slump from 12-14 (All double bogies ), three bogies, and a triple and you have a +11...

+6 at the ex nine today. Was +5 thru 3 holes ran off 5 straight pars and bogeyed the last. Bladed my sand wedge about 130 yards, only needed it to go about 15 yards so I had a nice pitching wedge back to within a couple of feet for my bogey.

i doubt it Jim ...im being cut faster than a fast thing ...heading for scratch in a huge hurry
think ive finally sussed this silly game ...
oh ...Mr Bates ! ...was just reading another message of your's regarding someone hitting your ball
in Royal and Ancient -if its believed someones hit your ball you are intitled to drop "another" ball in its place without penalty and continue ....this speeds up play
I'd imagine US rules are the same ..if the person who hit your ball actually lost it - then you'd have to drop another huh

Thats what i did, i walk up to a kid thaty just hit a ball into the water and ask if he just hit a Callaway CB1 Blue ball with a Midfeild sign on it and he says yep i just hit it into the water. I was golfin with another guy and my friend and he said he doesn't see why you shouldn't be able to just drop another one and hit 2 from as close to your original place as possible.
I can't golf today cause there is a senior (55+ age) tournament.

i shot a 104 on my home course and that is my lowest as of yet there. I shot a 57 going out (ouch!!) but i finally broke 50 coming in with a 47 on the back nine. Putter was working really well and my short game was very good now my long game and off of the tee still needs a little work but i am hitting it straight just not nearly as far as i would like.......

104!!! almost down below a 100!!!

Shot a 104 at Coldwater Canyon a par 70 course in the Wisconsin Dells. I started out the first 4 or 5 holes on both the back and front nine with 7's, then I started shooting Par or bogey holes to finish the nines. A four putt on one hole really hurt. Weather was drizziling a couple times but finished 18 in about 3 hours

89 (par-61) in the first round of my Junior Club Championship. I should be a 26 handicap (giving me 63) but they wrote down 27, so I shot 62. I commented on this (because I have to be fair) and they said "Too bad, it's down, you're a 27" So ALRIGHT! Then I see I'm tied for first with some other kid who's a 30 handicap, and so I'm gonna have to kill him tomorrow by at least 4 strokes (because I'm not going into playoff holes, I just won't).

Speaking of playoff holes, my neighbour (John) is in a match play style tournament for this Club Championship (He's in a different flight from me) and he had to play two rounds today. He won in the morning, and moved on to Round 2. Thru 18, AS. So they went to playoff holes. There was an entourage of about 15 people, myself included. I was driving John around the course. Hole 16 (first playoff hole) John and his competitor (Eva) get it close or on to the green. John chips it close and putts it in for par. Eva has a long downhill putt and misses it, then misses it for par. John is 1-up. Hole 17, fairly standard pars for both of them. Then John messes it all up on 18, where he gets a double bogey and hands Eva an easy par. So they're all square and the playoff starts again. This time, 10-11-12. John drives the green on 10, and Eva chunks her shot. Her chip was AMAZING. They both parred it.
Hole 11, John drives close to the green. Eva misses to the left. Another amazing chip and makes her par. John chips and has an easy putt for par. Or is it easy? No.
Hole 12, John's 1-down. This is it. Eva has honours, and gives it to John. He drives, and at this point in his mind, he's already lost. He pulls it into the water left of the green. Eva chunks her drive again. John drops, messes up his par chip. Chips on for bogey, and he's pretty much lost. He gets a triple or something. Eva messes up her chip, missing the hole by a lot. A 3-putt later, Eva is victorious. I was rooting for John, as was my brother (who acted as John's caddy) while the other 12 people there were going for Eva. I felt so bad for him. Imagine all that pressure, trying to win over a crowd who wants you to lose so badly, and trying to prove them all wrong. He just let it fall apart on 12. I feel sorry for him. Now I just gotta get it all together for tomorrow *wish me luck*

I ended up getting a quick 5 holes in today before i had to go to work, I have completley lost my my swing though, i haven't been shooting good at all for about 5 days. I think i know what the problem, and i am trying to fix it. Hopfully tomorrow i can figure it out cause i have some Saskatchewan Junior Tour events coming up in the next week and i do not want to embarrase myself to much.
(I was 4 opver for the 5 holes and i was thankful that i only had tiome for 5 because that could have been an ugly round)

Thumbs up Went to the driveing range today

I was hitting my Iron shots really well today made in to a 6 foot basket at a 125 yards and got a free bucket of balls witch was really nice. The best news of the day is that I was offered a Job there just giving out balls and making sure no one shanks one in to the go-cart track over the netting ( yes there are some people that really chose to do that thinking it is a big ha ha , little do they know that if a golf ball hits someone at the speed it takes to get over the 50' net that it could kill someone. )Some people should stand in front of a wall for 1 hr a day and just slam there face into it.

PS now that I work at a driving range I get to hit as many balls as I want for free even when I am working and get paid to do it Does this make a pro lol

well yesterday i was dying to go play a round of twilight at my home course but my golfing buddy was sick so i asked if my wife wanted to tag along and hang out so we did and i shot an amazing 93...that is 11 better than my previous best and it was all working pretty well for me. First hole is the hardest hole on the course a long par 5 that i got par on so it reallt set the pace for me.....i was actually only +8 on the front nine but proved to be human on the back 9 at +16 which is under 50 on both the back and front so i was very happy indeed!!!

Thank you very much. Yeah it all seemed to come together yesterday but i think best was my short game and my putting yesterday. I have recently changed my putting routine and it has seemed to help me a lot, less three putts and more 1 putts and 2 putts so that is great but i think my short game was my best friend yesterday from 100 yards in i was just great IMO, i hit a few maybe 6 or 7 within 3 feet and tapped in for par on 2 consecutive holes followed by a pair of bogeys and then par again....best stretch of holes ever!!!!

so from here does it get worse? cause now i wanna shoot under 100 everytime!!!
