I knocked about an 82 yesterday, tees quite a long way back but calm. That was including a triple, a double and 3 3-putts! So all in all, a pretty good score!

Stag , so you moved your ball back in your stance a bit ? Did that decrease your launch angle ? I think I'm getting a bit too much height with my TM r5 10.5* reg. (I hit everything high) My distance isn't bad but I think with a lower launch angle I could get more out of it. I tried teeing it lower but that didn't change much(I could probably hit this thing off the deck). I'm going to the range in a couple of hours to do some experimenting.

If you want some info on hitting it lower this might help, got it off the TW website,

The driver stinger is a natural progression from my 2-iron stinger and just as effective in windy conditions. It’s also great for tight fairways. I tee the ball a little lower than normal and play it toward the middle of my stance, which helps lower the trajectory. I flex my knees more than usual, which lowers my center of gravity and allows me to get on top of the ball through impact. I like to feel as though the emblem on my glove points to the ground through impact, and the clubhead extends straight down the target line after impact to an abbreviated finish.

Yup, that's right Waz. I had been teeing it up just inside my left toe, but then moved it back closer to the inside of the left heel. Also, if into a head wind, I will tee it so the centerline of the ball is located across from the top of the driver to keep it lower.

Played in a 2-man best shot today and did ok. hit all fairways but 2 and only missed 5 greens. didn't win any cash though.

stagday, oh ya, chipped in for birdie also.

I got out for my 2nd nine of the year last night. It was very wet(several shots plugged), very windy and the greens were just top dressed . I started off a little shakey, but began hitting the ball pretty well mid round. Ended up with a 39(+4). BTW, what are the age cutoffs for the OG/YG competition?

Played front 9 today. Course was very wet due to a heavy rainstorm last nite. It was sunny all day today so most of the course was bearable cept for patches where the sun don't shine. Shot 43 (+8) after a triple bogey on the first hole.

Sot a 40 yesterday after another stellar finish(bogey, bogey), and I haven't played today, but it's on the agenda...

I shot a 73 with 30 putts. The downside of my round was that I only hit 8 GIR's. My average is around 13-15.

I shot an 82 this afternoon...it felt like I played like junk the entire time, perhaps because I was a bit wild with the driver, but I hit 8 greens and was just on the fringe on four more greens. Shot a 38 going out and 44 coming back, but the course is so strange-par 33 going out and 39 coming back-that they were fairly similar nines. I putted much better on the front, hit it better on the back. Had 32 putts, and had my first three putt of the year on my 31st hole...then just for good measure added another one the next hole. Anyway, nice to get out and hopefully I'll hit it a little better next time I play.

i had a horrible horrible round today, and you could tell by my stats.

8 of 14 fairways
27 putts
4 of 18 GIR
1 Up and Down Par Save.

I just couldn't hit my irons. That's what I get for playing with shiny grips. I had no confidence at all standing over the ball. I only had 9 putts on the back nine, the problem was getting on the green. Ended up with a 94 where as I normally shoot in the low to mid 80's. I won't play again until I re-grip all my irons and my new 3 metal shaft is installed.

Nice round maxd12. You mentioned that you play for a team... at 13 what sort of team do you play for. You're too young for high school. You average 13-15 GIR ? Gee that would put you in the top 5 on the PGA stats list. Do you need a sponsor ?
