Was playing well, until fatigue attacked. Went +10 on last three holes. Did manage to accidentally get a birdie with a long downhill putt. Hole just kind of got in the way
Well, it was guest day at our club yesterday. My foursome invites 4 other golfer's to play and we went at it. It was a good day, except, I couldn't hit a drive. I just can't understand this game anymore. I was hitting excellent drives with good distance for me, then yesterday, the driving just flopped. anyway, the rest of my game was good and a good time was had by all. lol.
First night of after-work 9-hole league play. I sh***ed 7 irons and was close to walking off the course. Last hole, lousy drive into trap on right, 155 yds from the green, 3/4 6-iron to 15', sunk the downhill putt for a birdie and 44. I felt so bad for the guy I was playing against, a pretty good friend, because that tied our match. He deserved to win the way I was playing. Our team took 5 out of 6 points.
I would have traded the win for solid ball contact.
I started beautifully. 270 yd drive just off the right of the fairway. Second shot, 7 iron lay-up to 100 yards. Then, the wedge shot. $hank. Take a mulligan. $hank. Finally get off the hole, a lovely snowman. Get to the second hole, $hank in to the woods with my 3-iron. Ended up with a 7. (It was a par 4) On the 7th hole I finally discoverd my problem, I was hunching over to much causing me to make contact with the hozel. I ended par, par, par. The sad part was I only had 13 putts, and still shot the worst nine of my life. I lost so many golf balls I was afraid to play the back. (Had only 2 left, started with like 8 or 9)
Played my first round of golf last week since I was 19, I am now 26 anyway 18 holes on a county course.. Shot a 131 This week I played 9 holes on Tuesday shot a 54.. Today I played a pretty tuff course for me anyway 18 holes= 111..
I had a 4 over 77 today.... 15 GIR, 37 putts.
Played with some boy who thought he could beat me, bad idea, he lost by 28 shots hahahaaaa!
He never had a chance! Nice round ... but just think what you would have shot if you made a few putts!
I played 9 today... 1 over...meh. but I did have a pretty nice par... 304 yard par 4 with the pin in the back, first drive OB left 2nd drive
(3rd shot) perfect, flew it to the middle of the green and it stopped pin high... and I made the 10 footer for par!
Shot a +2 74 today, wasn't too bad I spose seeing as I had a new driver and putter in the bag for the first time. Acually hit 10 fairways today, thats pretty much a record for me. Missed 3 putts inside 3 feet.
On a side note I was playing a pennatt match today and we halved a hole (par4) with 2 a piece. He drove the green and holed the 10 footer and I holed out from 20 metres. Won the match 1 up
I'm seeing a little bit of sandbaggin on those hadicaps down in New Zealand huh?
GG 5.2... kiwidave..5.9? maybe they just need some updating, I wouldn't give either of you 5 strokes!
Oh and no, +2 is not too bad at all considering how easily it could have been one under!...nice eagle chip too, pretty clutch... with him on the green like that, his putt was pretty clutch too, It's always nice to beat a good player!

sandbagging? never!.... I just like to put in tournament cards instead of casual rounds, cause I always seem to play worse in tournaments.
Walked 18 for a 75, then rode another 18(hey, I've walked at least 18 for the last 7 days, give me a break) for a 77. If I could get a putt to drop I'd be dangerous.
I played 27 yesterday after 2 & 1/2 weeks away. Started with a GIR 60 feet away, pin high. 4 putts later I walked off and followed it up with a not bad drive off a cart path into a hazard on #2. The next 14 holes are a haze of water, trees, chunks & OB. I parred the last 2 in reg. One buddy had to leave and the other talked me into continuing. It was his 1st time out for the year and he was doing worse than me. Well I wound up 3-over for the last 11. That's with a penalty stroke. I love the new sticks & I'm just getting warmed up. It's going to be a great season. :nodsmiley
