First round of the year, first round ever with my new clubs. 93 (par 61 course though). My ball-striking was really off-and-on, but when it was on, it was ON! I was playing a draw/hook all day, so when the time came for me to actually use it, it goes straight! Into the hazard! So I carded a 7 on a 182-yard par-3. :( Meh it was an allright round. I can hit my long irons really well, which is surprising.

Played nine today from the tournament tees getting ready for the OG YG tourny, and shot a 41 that should have been a 37. On the first five holes had three birdie putts inside 7 feet. Missed them all. Hit 5/7 FW's and 5/9 GIR's. My short game is progressing finally, but the flat blade still refuses to coaperate. The fact that I had 18 putts throught only 9 nine holes should explain how bad it is.

I got out this evening and managed to get in 24 holes before I ran into some people and gave it up for the night. Shot an 83 on the first 18, with an 8 over 43 on the front and a 3 over 40 on the back. I just couldn't seem to buy a GIR though, despite having several on the fringe. 6 fairways (5/8 on back nine), 4 GIR, 32 putts. Overall I was hitting it pretty well though. I was hitting the driver quite well when I finally just decided to stop fighting the fade and go with it. I don't think I've hit so many solid long and middle irons in a long time, so there's hope there. Wedge game was atrocious until I found something I was doing a little different and once I remedied that after the first 18 I hit them great. Then I went back and played the first 6 holes again...4/4 fairways, 4 GIR, 2 over. Overall I was pretty pleased, especially after my poor round the other day.

I played in a monthly men's association tournament today. It was a Chicago format. I needed 33 points to make my quota (6 handicap). I had 10 points on the front and 10 points on the back (44/44). Pathetic golf today in all phases including putting.

84 yesterday. +5 Front +7 Back. I had the driver working, my irons and short game were non existent. My putting was bad, the greens were slow inconsistent and didn't seem to break- as they should. Very weird. I just switched to interlock from 10 finger so it's a little akward to get use to. I'm going to get my MP30's bent to standard w/ 2* stronger loft tomorrow.

Good: 305 yard drive on par 5
Bad: Chunking my 20' eagle chip.

87 (14 over) and a 88 (15 over)
Looks like a long day of practice tomorrow ... oh well

Shot a 77 today, hit 3 fairways as usual. Just as I thought I was getting that problem sorted. 28 putts. 6 foot putts are really starting to annoy me now. Missed 4 today all for birdie. It was a slow round though. I might have overthinking them

nah! I'll get it back.

I think I made the mistake of cutting down my driver inbetween the 2 rounds(because the pro said it was mucking up my swing being too long, it's longer than standard mens)..... after the 1st round I thought my driving couldn't get any worse, but it did

Shot an 81 yesterday during a rainy round in a Seattle course named Druids Glen. We decided to play despite sheets of rain falling constantly because my favorite weather website site said that it would stop raining before we made the turn and it turned out to be correct. If you haven't bookmarked this site yet try it. It's very accurate at predicting the weather, almost to the hour when you check it the day before or the day of your round. Go to "Local Forecast" and enter your zip code and then bookmark that page. Dave

Just got in from a nice afternoon round of golf, 8 over on the front side and 4 over on the back side for a total 12 over on a par 72. Not bad for a OG I guess any way the score not the main thing it was just a perfect day for golf enjoyed ever minute.
