41! over half of your shots were putts, that must be like some kind of record or something...
good playing tee to green though... 16 GIR is impressive
I played in a 9 hole ABC blind draw scramble tournament, I had a 12 and "about a 20" handicap on my team...we got 2nd,
but if I didn't choke we would have won... stupid chip off.
ForeonRoad, Bolt here. On our first hole the road runs along the entire hole and when one of our golfers who is quite wild tees it up we all yell " Fore on the road".
At Bountiful Ridge, a local course, you get to play #1 and #10 on both sides of a major road. So, it doesn't matter if you slice or hook or both...the road doesn't discriminate.
I prefer hitting the road from #10, a very short par four that is not necessary to hit a driver. Naturally, I hit the driver. The trick is to have good timing and hit as many cars as possible. Anyone coming after you on the gourse course is trespassing. So, I've got that going for me...which is nice.
A very very disappointing 86. 10-14 fairways...6-18 greens. 32 putts. The putting killed me. That and the missed greens. On the front nine I was even through 7 and doubled 8 and 9. I started the back nine par, birdie, bogey then proceeded to fall apart and make no better the a bogey coming in. 3 putted for bogey on 17. I was just all over the place. Blah..there is always tomorrow. The one shot that always brings you back was sweet though. Killed my drive and had only about 45 yards left. Completely bladed the pitch and it rolled to within one inch. Took a picture of it with my phone. After that I pured a drive 277 on the next hole and then dun dun dun..had to wait for a slow foursome that wouldn't let me play through. I had caught them on the previous tee and they just finished their tee shots and drove off. Looked right at me like I shouldn't be playing as a single during the week. Amazed me..anyway..I kill the drive 277 then have to wait for them to clear the green. Have about 225 left to the green and I lay off my three wood and put it in the green side bunker. Anyway enough of that story..that's where my collapse started..waiting in the fairway for those turkeys.
Played a very cold 9 this morning. Couple of pars, couple of bogeys, a couple more bogeys and a 6 on a par 3 brought me home with a 46. I was playing from the tips getting ready for the OG/Whippersnapper invitational. Doesn't look like I will be helping my team much.
Played here http://www.huntmoregolfclub.com this afternoon from the blues by myself. The tips were 7105... no way . The blues were enough for me 6600 (72.0 & 137 slope) It's a beautiful layout, but some local knowledge would have helped. 4 out of 5 of my penalty strokes were due to hitting into trouble I was unaware of. 46/45 - 91, 33 putts, 8 fairways, 4 greens . $22 for 18 for OGs to ride. I'll have another shot at it later , but this is definitely not where I'll be playing for our competition.

You gonna just lay down and let the course beat you? I say go back there and face it like a man for the competition!
The couple pictures were nice, but it left me wanting more. Too bad the site didn't have pics of all their holes....looked like a nice track.
I've played the Huntmore several times and it's all you can handle if you play from the appropriate set of tees. I know what wazmankg means when he said he hit into trouble that he was unaware of. There are also several dogleg holes that require course knowledge just to be able to know the distance to the dogleg.
Personally, I dislike a course that doesn't provide enough information for newcomers to play their way around without knowing how far, or where to hit it. I don't blame you wazmankg......I wouldn't play an unfamiliar course for the YG vs OG match either. I doubt there is anyone out there that will play a new course for the competition so don't let Stlcard_25 bully you into it!
I shot 2 over 37 at Bountiful Ridge today on the front 9 in the weekly men's association tournament. This is a nice score improvement. The conditions were great...really nice weather and great course conditions. I hit 6/9 greens today which is better. I had 15 putts with no 3 putts and I had a few very long first putts.
I had my first "real" approach shot of the entire season so far. I felt like I finally had a good swing on an approach shot. I hit a 7 iron pin high from 155 (minus the flag being up front). The trajectory was just right and it hit about 5 feet from the flag and backed up a little. It had been a long time since I hit a great approach shot that I felt was with a good swing. I made the putt too, but I thought I pulled it when I hit it.

I might consider it after a couple more rounds there... but not from the tips. 7100 is too much golf course for me, at least at this place. On the 1st 2 holes there was very little difference between the tips & the blues, but the 3rd was a 250 yard par 3 over a swamp from the back. Everyone have fun out there this weekend. I have a 2:00 tee-off tomorrow but they're calling for cold & rain (and maybe some snow ) tomorrow thru the weekend.
I played 9 today,
My putter worked for once ... still missed a few birdies though.
35 with 14 putts.
Now hopefully all these straight shots and good putts can stay
