Show's what happens when you get old, but as they say just a matter of how you look at it, I would still pick the old guys being somewhat and old guy myself I guess I would fit in better.
I read this poll wrong!
I thought we were voting for what usually happens (I picked the old guys), not who we'd like to play with. Where I play a lot of the old guys leave their sense of humour in the locker room, so I prefer to play with the ladies, who remember it's a game.
I'm sad to say I've never seen 3 teenage girls on our tee, so I think I'd have to pick them out of the choices.
As long as they move along and respect the rules of etiquette, I'll play with anyone. I have observed, however, that fathers with "young" sons probably play the slowest because they're doing more instructing than playing. I have also observed that a certain type of teenaged boy exhibits less regard for the course and the game than any other age or sex grouping.
Having said that, I have played with and enjoyed the company of all kinds of golfers and have tried to make my presence in their group as unobtrusive as possible.
I play with most anyone, the thing that irratates me the most is when I hit a good drive and some older guy says "man it must be nice to be young" Atributing my distance to my age rather then the amount of work I put into creating it.
shootin4par, maybe the old fellow is remembering when his body allowed him to swing as you do and to achieve similar results. All things being equal, I'd rather be young than old, with all of the natural infirmities that result. The old guy is envious of your youth and the seemingly endless possibilities that lie ahead of you in golf and in life. Don't be irritated; be thankful that you're young--and good.
I've only played with 1 teenage girl and she played off 4. The only teenage girl my husband played with was off scratch. There doesn't seem to be any middle ground at all, you're all either total beginners or excellent!
Three ladies. I like older women. As long as they're slim and attractive. yeaa! Rachel Hunter style.
Older women? 32-year-old Rachel Hunter is a older woman?
Your observation reminds me of a statistic I read the other day that over 50 percent of the world's population is under the age of 25. I guess that's why a 32-year-old babe like Rachel Hunter could be considered an "older woman."

Actually it's both as you'll find out some day, God willing.
I've never had the pleasure of being paired with a group of young women, so if I have to stereotype I'd prefer the older guys. They're more likely to know what they're doing and have respect for the game, fellow golfers, etc.
Give me three old guys any day - I'll fit right in.
I love listening to their stories, their bickering, their complaining, their lousy jokes, but most of all I get to appreciate that they're still around playing golf and usually still trying to improve. Gotta love it.
Plus the fact that they think I'm a "youngster" at 57, and think I hit the ball a mile (compared to them) is pretty good for the ego too.

I'll take the old guys too! For the same reasons! Earlier this year I was paired up with two guys that were in their late 70's. They had already hit when I arrived and teed it up after quick introductions. I nailed one down the middle and as I was reaching for my tee the first guy looks at me and says gruffly, "When I was your age, I hit it like that too." I didn't know quite how to respond but before I could, his partner says, " George! I've been playing with you for 50 years and you NEVER hit it like that!" There was a moment of uneasy silence and then all three of us busted out laughing The rest of the round was laced with old golf stories, good shots, bad shots, and plenty of laughs. All in all it was one of the most enjoyable rounds of the year for me.
