Lucky guy. Nope. Unfortunately, Columbus Day is not a recognized company holiday.
I definitely would have played a round. It was a beautiful day to go out.
I'll be going out soon to play a few holes with my little sister
She better not beat me! by the way it is nearly 4.30pm here, hmmmmm.... whats the time over there?
just finished 18 .....only 9 over par ...
dropped 8 of those on 2 holes.....matchplay has a way of causing those blowouts sometimes .......
halved a hole with a 5over par 9 .......hahaha
won 4/3 for the record
wasnt the putter ..
he went over the fence ...then behind trees then into trees and a garden
chipped on ...and missed the putt
me ..well , awesome drive ....then trying to baby a 6iron to land short and run on .. but i let the shoulders turn before the hands came thru ...so tweaked it into the trees
so my ball is nestled inside the tree ...a forked hollow
i scratched and scrathed my head thinking of a way to hit it close to the green or at least into play
unplayable drop would put me in a rubbish lie
so i tried hanging by 1 hand from a branch about 7 feet up with my back to the hole , hitting the ball back between my legs
back realised if the ball "jumped" off the ridge it was nestled against - which it would have - i would have introduced the family jewels to a ProV1 ....lol
so i tried hitting it from behind
the ball never left the tree ...took the drop
was laughing my head off as i duffed my 5th and 6th ...chipped on ....and couldnt bring myself to win the hole with an 8 ........haha
the triple on 14 was a 3putt from 18 inches ...hahaha
amazing how easy to miss when you dont want it enuff
I played yesterday, which was Monday the 11th of October. I could not chip or put at all. Shot a 43 on a par 36. I couldn't believe how bad I was playing.
However, I did follow up a really bad shot with two great shots.
I was playing a 549 yard Par 5. As I came down with my driver, my body locked up and I barely made contact. It was horrible. The ball flew low and right into the rough. The drive didn't even go 200 yards. I believe it was about 175. I only average about 250, but that was bad. My ball was sitting up in the rough just a little, so I took out my three wood. I cracked that ball perfectly and flew it over the sand traps in the fairway. The ball traveled about 230-235 yards. That left me 140 yards. I took my nine iron and plugged that ball to a little less than eight feet. And just when the birdie was about to roll in, a ball mark on the green kicked it three inches to the left so that it missed. What a bummer. But hey, at least I made more pars than bogeys. Its just that I had two doubles because I was putting so horrible. Well, that was my round.
P.S. I have a low trajectory, but I hit that nine with enough spin to stop after one hop.
