Starting a golf tour....

Wouldn't it be awesome for someone to start a golf tour for people of a 0-5 handicap or something?

I mean the purses wouldn't be nearly as much, but it'd be awesome to just be able to play golf in tournements around the US.

Check the open flight. Only problem for you is that its SoCal, NorCal, AZ, NV only.

Aren't there various mini tours or are those for golfers who are even better than 0-5 handicaps? Here in Hawaii, there is something called the AmaTour but it's for amateurs. Not people looking to win any considerable money or prize. There are also various amateur tournaments throughout the year.

There's a Hooters Tour in FL. That's as close of one that I know of to KY.

That's a bummer. Maybe you can schedule a trip to play a few pepsitour events? You can't beat summers in socal! What am I saying, you can't beat all year round in socal :)

There is already a golf tour like that. It's called the amateur tour.

Didn't know there was such a thing as the "amateur tour." If you have amateur status how can you win prize money?

I'm thinking of scheduling something...just for fun. Your first tournement is for free. I emailed the director, and he said he would work something out with me so I might take him up on that next year. lol

Wouldn't win major money even if I won, but it'd be fun.

What the... my first tournament wasn't free! :( Guess I should have paid closer attention. Yeah, the money is sorta small, but hey, anything won would be nice. At least that's how I look at it.
