Yardage scopes

Since the range I practice at can have quite a bit of difference in rope positions and no one seems to be sure exactly where they measured from when they put up the flags, I purchased a inexpensive yardage scope.

Kind of wondering how accurate these things are. I assume they are against the rules on the course. Trying to work on consistent yardage but its kind of hard to know how far I am hitting each club.

You mean the 20 dollar ones? Very inaccurate if it is the scope that uses the flag to measure the distance, and it isn't a digital computed answer. The only really good ones are the expensive range finders. Also, I believe that in a tournament or match play, you may not use them because it is artificial and outside help. However, if your just playing around...

I agree. The cheap ones are useless.
