Those "warning flares" can quickly turn into a lawsuit if you hit someone. The slower the player........the faster the lawsuit!

yeah but there's nothing like seeing a couple carts scatter in all directions as a ball screams down a hard summer's fairway.

Most of the time I play during the week so the course is never crowded, it does spoil you to play a round in 3 hrs. Since so few courses are open right now there are bigger crowds on them. We usually play a tee box game to kill the time. Spring golf used to be for the die hards but it seems like casual golfers are going out there too - 53* brisk wind.

tee box games- chipping at the tee markers, if you hit it you keep going back and forth, scoring with every hit. or practice bouncing the ball off the wedge. just time killing games. I played today and could not believe the pace, I was a single, so usually slower play helps me because I tend to play too fast, but today was brutal. I ended up playing 3 balls (which I don't like to do) while the group in front of me taught their buddy how to play golf. To make matters worse was there were groups in front of them so I couldn't play through.

if the marshall won't do his job then i take matters into my own hands (usually a 3 wood and an old ball)

My lawyer would be my wife, so I am sure we could bring her along. Is there a Nordstroms near the course?

And you played it so well! I wouldn't believe that any golfer that cares about the game, and knows better, would ever intentionally hit into someone.
