I will go out on a limb and say that Jim is younger than I am which there is no way that could be his Avatar, Of course we may never know.

Whether it is him or not, until I should come to meet him, I will always have the image of a guy with glasses and a face exactly like the avatar, wearing his Tam O' Shanter, sitting at his computer perusing the halls of Golf Rewind, looking for any poor lost souls he can take under his wing in that typical Jim "grandfatherly" fashion and steer them back in the right direction.
