Driving Accuracy. It is the only stat that helps out the others. If you are in the fair way the easier it is to hit the green and youll have less putts.
I want to groove a consistent ball flight - my natural shot is a gentle fade and I'm happy to stick with that if my slice were cured. That should save me 3-5 shots a round.

DITTO THAT. If I could keep it in the fairway at least 60-70% of the time, my scores would dramatically lower. I'm comfortable with my iron and short game, but staying in the fairway is SOOOO important.
I'd have to say driving accuracy. My iron game is good enough to get me to the green. But if you aren't hitting fairways and hitting OB it doesn't matter if your irons are good.
I'd put driving accuracy 2nd to 3-8 foot putts. Most of the courses I play, the rough isn't that penal. My wayward drives probably cost me an average of 2 strokes a round. My chipping & pitching has improved to where I'm getting it inside 8 feet consistently. I'd like to make 50% of those. Is that a realistic expectation ? I probably make 15-20% now. It's a close call.
The big stick and the little stick. In other words, Driving Accuracy and putting. Others have pointed out that Driving accuracy has a huge effect on all the other stats (very true), what takes the most strokes off my game is quickly getting the ball in the little bucket once I'm on the lawn. Its not surprising that the best putting day I've had in my life is also my personal best for lowest score.
Consistency with my irons, short irons and wedges especially. If I can hit them close consistently, I'll score just fine. The course I play isn't overly long and the rough is not that penal, so I hit 8 iron or less into the green on almost every hole with just a decent drive. But I never feel like I make solid contact with my short irons, even when I get a good result. Long irons are about the same, although obviously it's much easier to feel a bad strike on your long irons.
putting...without a doubt...putting. I'd also like to improve my putting. When I get my putting squared away, I'll then try to improve my putting some more.
I guess I have a few things I would like to improve for next year. I have drastically improved my drive from the beginning of the year. I had this nasty slice and now I have a gentle fade. I want to add more distance since I hit it about 220 right now. Second, I want to work on my irons/wedge play. It is OK, but I want to get more consistent with it. When I struggle, I hit it fat. I think if I work on those I can break 90. I shoot in the mid 90s currently.
