Water and a rag after you brush out the grooves on the clubface.
Plenty of time to do this between shots on the muni courses I play.

I've used window cleaner and Simple Green before.
It makes them shine and smell good if you're into that kind of thing.

Goo-Gone to get rid of the sticker residue, and this can also be used to take off tape residue if you're re-gripping your clubs.

I use windex and a toothbrush to clean the irons. After cleaning, I dunk them in a bucket of water to rinse, and wipe clean. You can also use the windex to clean up the steel shafts.

For metal woods I use the same method to clean the face and sole plate - windex and toothbrush - but for the main body of wood I just wipe it clean . Every couple of weeks I apply car wax to the head (not the face) and to the graphite shafts, and buff off.

All in all it takes me about 15 minutes.

Every month or so I clean the grips by immersing them in dish detergent/water solution. I brush them off, rinse, and dab the excess water off. I let them air dry over-night.

i just use soap and water and a brush to clean the grooves. at the end of the season( i know some ppl don't have an end to the season, lol) i apply a paste wax to the shafts and heads to protect them from moisture collecting. never had one rust yet.

A hair dryer will remove stickers too but I like to leave mine on and nervously pick at them during the round. Plus, I find the $39.99 bright orange one on my 5-wood to be quite charming.

I user any Citrus Degreaser (available at bicycle shops) for the sticker goo. It works great, and smells wonderful, without damaging anything.

Normally - just a towel and water does the trick to clean my clubs, but every 2 months or so - I take them out to the garage, with a brush, and soapy water (Dawn dishwashing liquid) to thoroughly clean out the dirt from the stampings in the irons.

I am constantly cleaning my club faces w/a tee and my damp towel (water) It's my security blanket... I clean before and after every shot/putt, even though I know they are clean. It started out when I was a kid, I used to loop at CC and now its engrained and I guess it settles me down.

Another issue to consider is where you store your clubs. I have never left my clubs anywhere that I wouldn't want to be myself, such as in the trunk of a car, in the garage in summer heat or winter cold, etc.

My clubs reside where I reside. I don't get rusty; they don't get rusty. And having them in my den with me is a constant reminder of my priorities.

The clubs are kept in the garage. Thats usually where I go when I want to have a cigar - especially in the Winter - and I find the company of the clubs quite pleasant.

You really should give up that filthy, stinking habit, you know--of escaping your wife by going out to the garage!
