What does your golf course look like?

Well I belong to a few golf courses..... but these are my main two

Greenacres: http://www.greenacres.nzgolf.net/
It is a 18 hole course with very fast and slick greens, Huge pot bunkers and the sea runs all the way around.
The course is about 5900 yards from the ladies and is a par 73.

Totaradale: http://wwww.trademe.co.nz/photoserve...38920_full.jpg

10 hole course(you play it like a 9 hole course tho)
1 bunker, slow greens and long rough!
It's only 2 minutes from my house!

It's hard going from such fast greens to totaradales slow greens

The scenery is really nice at greenacres. We don't see anything like that around here. I play all over the place... I'll have to find a couple of the better looking ones to post. 5900 @ par 73? That's not enough course for you GG.

That Greenacres course looks very nice girlgolfa! Are the membership rates expensive?

I play at Silverwood Golf Club, nothing very special, but a very hard, tricky course. Bunkers are practically non-existent, theres 9 on the whole course. The greens are quite slick, at one stage last summer they were running at 11 on the stimpmeter!

Avondale is a reasonably tight course, not too long (5422 meters), vaguely links style fairways (not many flat lies here), plenty of trees to slice into and plenty of bunkers to take five shots getting out of. It has three Par5s and five Par3s (shortest 138 meters, longest 177 meters).

Best thing for me is that it has plenty of competitions during the week, and even when there isn't one you just have to wait around 10-15 minutes and someone will show up to play with, in other words a nice informal atmosphere.

Cheers,
Jim

Yea, totradales a wreck..... i just use it for practice most of the time.

To join Greenacres for me it's 21US dollars- but it is really cheap for juniors in NZ..... for a Lady or man to join it would be 500 US dollars, which is pretty good for one of the top courses

Westfields Golf Club. A Fred Couples design.

Score here and you've accomplished something.

I don't have a clue about exchange rates between NZ dollars and British Pounds either!

Maybe I'm a long lost relative of your coach......

You said 5900 yards gg. Did you mean meters ? 5900 yards is short for a par 73.

So you're pulling out the "lady" card on me huh ? You hit it 220 off the tee and 150 with a 7-iron... a 5900 yard par 73 is not enough course for you. Heck , I could break 80 on a 5900 yarder.

No, wazmankg hasn't played your course but I've played with wazmankg and he's absolutely right. :nodsmiley He'd light up a 5900 yarder! It wasn't that long ago that you were MS 16+ yourself.
