Salary? hmm..besides their contracts/endorsements (in the millions), I assume the rest depends on how they finish in tournaments. I believe Vijay finished with almost $11 mil. in tournament earnings ALONE. So add that to what he's getting paid by his multi-million $ contracts/endorsements/etc.

Respectively, Paul Stankowski (150th ranked) made $442,872 in tournament earnings.

It varies greatly depending on the area and the quality of the golf course. I knew a Director of Golf/Head Professional in the Washington DC area who made about $80K but the assistant pros at the same course were only pulling down about $20K.

They made additional money when they gave lessons which ran something like $60/hour. At that particular course, they let the pro giving the lesson keep the entire fee, but elsewhere the course may take a cut of the lesson fees.

Plus some pros get a cut of the pro shop income. They also assume the risk for purchase of the inventory too. Depends on the courses arrangement with the pro. I found this out when I went to a club to purchase a gift certificate for a friend of mine at his club. I made the check out to the pro. I though it was weird but the pro said he does all the merchandise sales.
