My first PAR...

The same par 3 where I birdied last week, this time I landed on the green with the drive, but far from the hole, putt to within a foot and there it was, my first par...

My modest, but very hard to achieve goal, is to score up to 63 for each 9 holes, only managed it twice, 62 on the birdie day and 60 today, who said Golf was easy...

my goals are to avoid double bogey or worse.

i really don't mind bogey especially since i rarely get to play very much.

We usually score Stableford around here, the good thing is you can trash a few holes and still have some points, for instance, I scored 9 points on 9 holes the other day, with my 62 shots, and 8 points today with 60...

my first par was on a par 3 too. I flew the green by about 20 yards and then had a horrible pitch shot which left me a 30 foot putt. somehow got the ball the fall in the hole. I've never been so excited in my life...

Congratulations!!! Soon you will be having back to back to back pars, maybe more. My wife had her first par last year on a par four. She could hardly contain herself, "I had a par, I had a par". It was cool.

Congratulations! That is quite an accomplishment! Keep it up, and one of these days you'll be reporting your first eagle!

I remember my first par. I had just started out playing. I was having a good day, and blasted a drive about 230 yards. That was the farthest I had ever hit the ball. I had about 110 yards to the green, so I took a pitching wedge. (Remember, I was a little guy 3 years back. I've gained at least 20 yards per club since.) I popped that ball on a ledge about 12 feet from the hole. I was really excited, because now I had the chance for my first birdie instead! Well, it was a tricky putt, but it almost went in, missed by about an inch. So, a tap in later, and I was grinning ear-to-ear!
