Practice Round

If you could play a practice round with any PGA tour player who would you pick?. I would base my pick on someone that I could learn the most from and could help me to further my game, and not necessary the best player or top player on tour, or even a player that is no longer on tour. My pick would be Fred Couples, he seems to be the type that could help someone and be willing to help.

You know, I really wish I could play a round with Hogan. I've always really admired his game and his character. Of course, I think my other choice would be Freddy. Who knows? I might even cry with him if he made a hole in one or something!

I'd pick Tiger. If I put a ball OB I'd just ask to see if he could scramble from there. I think it'd be amazing to see his shotmaking first hand too.

Sergio seems like a cool guy, I don't know how good his english is though?

John Daly would also be great, friendly personality and an awesome game!

Well since this will never happen anyway I will say Bobby Jones. I am getting sick of all these over paid greedy athletes. Would be nice to play with someone who played golf completely for the love of the game.

I like the idea of Fred Couples but if I had the choice, I'd go with Tiger. It would be nice just to say, "hey, I played golf with Tiger Woods." I'm sure I would see some amazing shots, too. If I actually wanted to learn how to play better, I honestly feel I could learn more from an LPGA player.

Tiger Woods, no doubt about it. Just because he is the best, it would be amazing to see the shots that he could pull off. Nobody else could pull off a 50 yard slice around a tree from 250 out and stick it to 8 feet, nobody.

I think I'd pick Ernie Els, He has an amazing swing for a tall player, I think I could learn alot from him.

I'd probably choose Philly Mick. Just seems like a great guy, and I'd love to watch some of that short game magic!

I'd have to pick someone young like Sergio Garcia which I've seen improve in a major way over the years since playing against Phil Mickelson back in well I have no idea. I think it was a skins game back in the early to mid 90's I suppose. His swing has changed dramatically. Second would be young Ian Poulter. A fine young lad with a lot of heart and determination, like me. :nodsmiley

Tough one...

From a learning standpoint, it would probably make sense for me to choose someone like Jeff Maggert, Nick Price or David Toms, not overly long hitters, but players who have to rely on course management and accuracy.

As far as enjoyment, Lee Trevino, Chi Chi, or Fuzzy.

As far as awe, Tiger, Vijay or Ernie.

As far as another type of awe, Natalie Gulbis, Kelli Kuehne or Michelle McGann

I'd have to pick Todd Barranger...oh wait, I do that all of the time.

I think I'd have to choose the great one...Mr. Nicklaus himself. Not only could I pick his brain about the game of golf but also about design...
