And father Christmas braought me....

We'll my parents, who even though I'm 35, splash out on Christmas, did some research and bought me a Swing Groover II. Which is some feat from here in the UK.

Anyhow I had read mixed reviews and was skeptical.

I used it the first few times and it was saying I was pushing the ball right sometimes a lot....

The distances seemed around 20 yards short ( which is what the reviews seemed to say ) and I was skeptical about the results. Anyhow went out to the course, Middlesbrough Muni ( I was up there over chrimbo ) 1st tee in the rough to the right, hmmm I thought, 2nd tee 2 balls into the river on the right.....then my brother chirps up "you know that your body is shaped that way" well no I didn't...

Back on the swing groover, and it does seem to get direction right. I am now using the groover with a full backswing and 1/4 finish drill.

I have a stigmatism with my left eye, I have discovered that what looks to me to be a square club face is actually open, but the groover and the drills are slowly helping me get more accurate.

My initial scepticism is removed, although no substitue for hitting real balls, its extremely useful for indoor drill practice.

Cheers

Simon

Anything that helps us improve our game is a valuable tool.

Congratulations and continued good luck sorting out your swing!
