Old grip tape...

Stupid question, but is there any easy way to get old grip tape off ? It went above 30 for the first time in a while so I guess it's time for the pre-season equipment tune-up.

Thanks for you help.

Take an old turning gouge and scrape it off. When you are down to only residual glue, use a rag moistened with solvent to wipe it clean.

A utility knife also works in place of a gouge but takes a little longer. Just remember to cut AWAY from you...

Thanks JC.. I use the 1-piece tape, so my irons and woods that I did last year are a piece of cake, that stuff comes off great. But whatever the heck Titleist is using for their grip tape is brutal...... I got two Vokey's last year which I'm regripping.. they are the reason I startedt this thread.. ugh.
