I have now also added, after leaving my wallet at home, an extra $40 in a Cohiba cigar tin. I don't know if there is a worse feeling than driving half an hour to a course, walking up to pay and realizing your wallet is at home.
I usually have a couple of pencils, extra scoring cards, an energy bar, my iRiver, extra gloves (right and left handed), extra coins for ball marking, divot repair tool, dozen strips of lead tape cut into 1 SW sizes, a water proof towel, 2 extra sleeves of balls and some brush T's just in case I forget to stock up on wooden tees.

GG: Do you take 2 other bags to carry all that stuff in it?
I carry:
12 Maxfli Noodles
As many Nike Balls as I have left
4 Gloves (2 Used, 2 New)
Box of Tees (some 25+)
4/5 pens (bad experiences with Pens giving out on 4th hole )
Mobile Phone
Wallet + Keys
Golf Shoes
Wet Weather trousers
Titleist Cap/Wooly Hat (Weather Dependant)
mp3 player (I like to listen to music as I walk to the course)
My Sticks
10 Swedish Krona Coin (They didn't convert it to £'s as it was too small to convert, so it stays in my bag as good luck)
GG: Do you take 2 other bags to carry all that stuff in it?
No, I just all stuff it in one bag.... it's a pretty big bag though .... well it has to, with all that stuff in it!
Good thing I don't have to carry my bag, or I'd be dead by now
I can appreciate a good idea. Now as long as I don't throw it away when I clean out my bag.
Actually when I was replying to the posts, I swore I credited you with that idea. My bad, so to all my fellow GR'ers out there. Sometimes League is worth listening to
My 14 clubs, balls, spare glove, Bottle of pepsi, 2 mars bars, Tee's, markers, pitch repairers, Course Guides, spare hat and a copy of the official R&A rules book.
I usually carry a bag of BBQ chips, Gatorade ( if it is hot ), tees, golf balls, clubs, divot tool, wallet, and a metal brush to clean my irons. In my cargo pants I ONLY carry 1 golf ball and one tee. I do not like anything else in my pockets when I golf.
In my bag, clubs, balls- usually Pro V1's, and Precept Laddys, plenty of tees, some ball markers, two gloves (I like Footjoy), some chap stick, a hat, a rain jacket, some spare change, a case of Scorpion spikes and spike tool, a towel, and a little soft brush tool I use for cleaning out grooves on my irons occasionally. I bring my umbrella on days when it looks like rain. I also usually keep my keys, wallet, and watch in my bag while I'm playing because the only thing I like to keep in my pockets is a few tees and a ball marker.
My bag has:
a pocket full of tees, I break tees on every hole so I need alot
A little bag filled with ball markers, and divot repair tools
6 ProV1X
A wind breaker
a pen, in case I loose my pencil
Various scorecards and books for different courses I've played
In my pants pockets I usually have:
Tees in my left pocket
Ball Marker and Divot Repair tool in my Right Pocket
2 Balls and a Scorecard in the back right pocket
Course Book with yardages marked in back left
Way too many balls... I have to retire most of them to the shag bag.
A towel.
A plastic bag to cover the clubs in case of rain
A sweatshirt & extra pair of socks
a couple of pitch repair tools
My trusty ball retriever(which is why I carry way too many balls)
Umbrella
Deet for the bugs
Hay Fever med
too many pencils
Road map of the area with courses marked
Pull cart
sunscreen
keys & wallet go in the bag
cell phone on vibrate goes in the pocket(try pulling the trigger when that thing goes off on your backswing)
ice water bottle

I try to keep things to a minimum. The only things I carry in my pocket are 3 shiny pennies (ala Jack Nicklaus, 1 to mark my ball, 1 to loan if necessary and a spare penny in case I lose one) and a pitch repair tool. I keep two tees tucked in the velcro part of my glove.
My bag contains:
1 dozen ProV1's in various stages of use that I use when I practice.
2 sleeves of new ProV1's,
a small pocket filled with tees (short and long),
2 pencils,
2 extra pitch repair tools,
2 towels (1 wet 1 dry),
4 gloves (2 used 2 new)
1 black Sharpie marking pen
1 small bottle of sun screen
1 small Sports Rosin bag to keep my right hand dry on hot humid days
1 24 ounce water bottle
1 cell phone (silenced, but checked every 3rd hole in case of emergency)
1 small medical pouch containing band-aids, Advil, eye drops and a pocket knife
1 money clip containing cash and my Driver's License
1 club cleaning brush
1 plastic covered photo of my wife and son attached to my bag.
I add several more towels and the appropriate umbrella and rain gear if the waether dictates.
When you list everything it seems like alot but it's really not. Most everything on that list gets used at least once every couple of rounds.
I try to keep my carry bag light.
14 golf clubs
Half dozen balls
Tees
Sharpie marker
Towel
1 bottle of Water or Power Aid
2 gloves
Band aids
Xtra pencil
Keys and Wallet
Rain cover for bag, rain gear and umbrella if it looks like rain
In my pockets
Couple of tees
Coin for marking ball
Divot tool
2 balls
Score card
Pencil
