Walk or Cart?

95% of the time I'll walk my round. Every once and a while I'll go on a cart with somebody. I like to walk so I can have more time in-between shots to just relax and think about my next shot. Plus when I am on a cart, I always leave my wedge or sand wedge behind. Don't know why, but one day I left my wedge behind like 3 times, and the group behind us kept giving it back to me...I felt kinda stupid lol

I usually walk 99.9% of the time. Last year I think I used a cart once and that was because I had no choice. I'm thinking about stopping and playing this afternoon on my way back to school so I most likely will ride this so I can get 18 in in under 3 hours.....

Majority of the time I walk, summer and winter, just gives a person time to reflect on the next shot. Today I wanted to get in 18 before the thunderstorms moved in so I rode, worse game of golf I have ever played. Can't say it was because I was riding just the wheels fell of my game, if someone had come along and said nice clubs they would have had a complete set of Cleveland's with driver and wedges it was that bad. Driving home swore I never play again but after unloading my clubs may give it a try another weekend.

I've probably seen 5 or so threads asking this question. And every time I've responded the same way.

Walk. If you use a cart continuously, you're a wuss and you're throwing your money away every round. :-P No offense to riders, of course.

Well, since I usually go with my father and step-dad I get a cart. So I get a cart 70% of the time...

about 99.9 % of the time I walk. The only time I get a cart is when I go with my dad.

I prefer walking. You get a lot more exercise than taking a cart. I only take a cart if it is required by the course.

Hey 14nSome, I'm gonna threadjack this and ask, how do you like the Nike forged blades? I was looking at those among other iron sets but never got around to demoing them.

There nice, they have a soft feel and there very workable. There not forgiving at all, but when you do hit it on the spot you definatly know it. When it came time for me to decide I was either gonna get these or a set of Snakeyes I was looking at. But when I saw these for only $225 I couldn't pass them up. If your looking to upgrade you should consider trying them.

I ride when I don't have to pay for it...which is to say when I play at my home course. But if the course isn't busy or I'm only playing nine I'll walk.

Yep...same here. It surprises me how many courses require carts. Golf is much better walking, it's not even close

Cart. I'm tired of walking and I'm tired of it taking too long.

Cart most of the time. Im only 22 but I started playing in Malaysia and 90% of the courses require you to ride unless you go in the morning of a weekday. Because of that rule, I started out riding and bought myself a staff bag for my first set. After that, I walked about twice in Malaysia with a caddy.

When I came here for college, I tried walking nine coz I bought a new set here with a stand bag. I say its alot of fun but still very tiring if you going to play 18. Especially with a riding foursome behind you at every hole, you need to play a little faster.

Right now, my only playing partner is a beginner so we need all the time savings we can get. I'll stick to riding untill we can both play under 95 consistently. Then I would really want to walk....

I like most of you so far walk as much as I can. I usually only ride if it is part of the package. There is a course near by that has big distances between greens and the next tee, I usually ride at this one.
