Golf And.......

When I was growing up as a kid we had a local store that sold both boats/boating equipment, and Toys. The store was named G&B Marine and Toys.

There is a correct marketing scheme name for this, but it escapes me at the moment.

I was thinking the other day what an idea this would be for a golf store.

What are some ideas for product mixes that you have (one has to be golf related) that you think would be good or even funny?

Golf and Scuba. You would have a way to recover lost balls and clubs!

Here in Denver, we have a small chain called Colorado Ski and Golf. Naturally, they do that so they don't have an off-season.

There is another place called Christy sports, and about half of their summer business is selling patio furniture.

I'd combine a golf shop and a barber shop. You could get your haircut while talking about golf, looking through catalogs, etc... While you were waiting your turn you could putt, or hit balls into a net.

I'm not sure if you've seen them, but there is something kinda close to this already; it's called Sport Clips. It's for men to go and get haircuts, while watching sports on several tvs...They all have a sports oriented theme(thus the name), and are very nice...You can also get a message there...Good service, affordable, sports on flat screen tvs, can't argue with that...

BamaGolf - We don't have them here in New Jersey, but it sounds like a pretty good deal. Thanks for the info.
