2006 version is a bit longer than '05, softer off tee and seems more durable to my wedge shots. But I'll say they spun more than V1x off driver shots, so I should launch One Platinum off lower tee. Platinum somewhat fits the gap between V1 and V1x.

Amazing! I have never had enough control of my game to be able to critique golf balls. I am happy with the 'drop and stop' shots.

..and so it goes!

One of my playing partners gave me one that he found Sunday. This ball is LONG (280+ on a 50* day). It also spins, and seems very durable.
For the wierd, my round improved dramatically once I started hitting this ball. I'd start my next round with it if it hadn't landed in someone's back yard.
It's a winner in my book. I will be picking up a dozen for the post-Thanksgiving rounds. If I decide that they're worth it, it may become my new ball.

I haven't played these balls since they first came out. After playing several $20 a dozen balls, and some ProV1 X-Outs, I have decided to give them another shot because after reading these reviews, I remembered how much I liked them. So once the temperatures warm up a little in MO., I will post my new review.

So the temperature got to about 60 today which is very nice for December in MO.
I havent played for three weeks now and I didnt have time to warm up which compared to my scores when I do warm up doesn't make a difference.
I played well today shooting an 80 and would have been a lot lower without the double and triple bogeys back to back.
I have fallen back in love with this ball and cant remember why I ever switched. I love the amount of spin I get off this ball and the ability I have to stop it around the greens, something that helped save a few strokes today.
As stated before in other threads, but no different than other premium soft cover balls, off the driver it does generate side spin more easily but nothing unexpected.
I loved the way it felt off of my irons both long and short. I was able to control it and liked the way it felt coming off of the clubface. It had a mid-high trajectory as stated. Wedges seemed to fly really high and middle irons was a little lower than I have gotten used to with the $20/dz balls, but I liked it just took alittle getting used to at first. THe best feeling I got with it today was with my 7iron. I had about three shots that I had about 155 to the pin which is in between my 7 and 8 iron. Instead of muscling up on a 8 iron I hit a knock down 7 iron each time. I loved the way it felt every time. It flew straight with a nice middle trajectory and landed with a lot of spin stopping where I needed it to. One shot I backed it up about three feet.
I thought that with wedges they were very consistent when chipping and I was confident with flying it close to the pin that it would stop quickly.
Anyway, I'll stop rambling but overall this is by far my favorite ball.

Before the cold set in i found one and played a round with it and shot my lowest score with it and ive been playing with them since. Distance is awesome, i think its the longest premium ball ive played with. Accuracy its weird the ball just seems to fly so pure, not high and not low. Spin is also weird the ball doesnt feel soft but it spins just like the ball should. Durability the nike has titleist, callaway, and taylor made beat hands down. The taylor made is the worst ball for durablilty ive hit, one full swing with a wedge and its cut to pieces.

It's official. The Nike One Platinum is my ball of choice. The only thing I don't like, is the price.

I have been using the One Platinum for about 8 months now, as a replacement from the Pro V1x. I love this ball, for me it has the perfect combonation of spin and distance. I rate it 5 stars.
