I've seen the PRACTICE balls for sale for about $15.00 a dozen cheaper, but if this one ball was any indication, don't waste your money. This practice ball didn't perform anywhere near what even a well used regular ProV1x does, and it's certainly not the ProV1x I'm used to playing.
Are you sure?
Pro V1x "practice" balls are basically just balls with cosmetic blemishes from what i have heard.

No, the ball didn't have PRACTICE stamped on it in huge black letters and I didn't decide to compare the two when I first felt the difference. I just made this up.

Besides blemishes, the balls can also be out of round, which would affect ball flight and distance.

The ball might not be the only thing "out of round" here! :

I didn't mean it that way, i meant are you sure there was a difference. But obviously i was wrong, forged corrected me. But since i am a junior lets just act like a jerk towards me.

This has nothing to do with your age. When you act like one...you get treated like one. I simply posted an opinion about "one" particular ball I found. I played identical shots with the PRACTICE ball and the ball I normally play (ProV1x) and then posted my findings.

You, on the other hand, questioned the validity of my experience with the PRACTICE ball with your "Are you sure?" comment. Since you stated you've only "heard" things about the ball and have ZERO playing experience with it, how can you blindly challenge someone else's findings?

To better answer your "Are you sure?" question....No, I'm not sure! I'm absolutely 100% POSITIVE that the one Titleist ProV1x PRACTICE ball I compared to a new Titleist ProV1x ball was considerably inferior. If you feel you must question that, I suggest you buy both types and find out for yourself.

How was i acting like a jerk? I was saying that FROM WHAT I HEARD the only difference was cosmetic blemishes and i was asking ARE YOU SURE IT WASN"T THE SAME? I don't know how long you compared it, but sometimes if you only hit a few shots with a ball and a few chips or putts it doesn't tell you the whole story.
If i somehow did manage to seem like a jerk, although i don't see how, i am sorry, that wasn't my intention, but I personally haven't been able to see any difference between Pro V1 reg. practices or reg pro V1's and i hadn't ever heard anything about them being anything more than a little messed up in the cosmetic area.

I answered your question with my previous post. You're the one that started the "jerk" analogy. If the shoe fits, wear it. While you are correct in posting that it "sometimes" takes more than a few shots to determine a balls traits, I can firmly attest that this was not the case with the PRACTICE ball I hit.

You can't "see" the difference between a fresh egg and a rotten egg either, but I've "heard" they're different too.

Fair enough, I beleive you i just really thought that "x out balls" or practice balls only problems were cosmetically which is what made me wonder how they could be told apart.
I wasn't saying you weren't playing a practice ball because i know they have practice on them, i am not stupid.

I think this is a rather trivial debate, but JMO.

There may have been a few misunderstandings here, but let's not let it get in the way, and forget about it.

It was very simple to tell these two balls apart. One had PRACTICE stamped on it, one didn't. Shouldn't this be in the Joke forum?

What? I thought we were talking playability characteristics?

I don't want to get on your bad side, but isn't that a little rude to be saying, especially as a mod? Why don't we all just get along?
