I like the DT SoLo, but not enough to use them. Soft feel, decent distance and spin. All around good ball for the money.
It's getting colder, so (as always) I'm changing to a softer ball for the winter. This year's choice is the Srixon Soft Feel. It's either softer balls, or a heated cart. The balls are cheaper.
I understand your point, but my reasoning on the importance of a consistant golf ball is based on the fact that it and it alone determines the purpose of our performance.

My dedicated and favorite Driver is not listed among the clubs in my signature, as it rides along ..,because I bought the newer Exotics 460cc that is very straight, but very expensive, and yet the old maraging D is still, 10 to 20 yards longer, when I need it.
It is a small headed Orlimar Tri Metal of 9 degrees and with a Speeder 757 S, it can fly 20 yards further for me when I need distance. I still like 'maraging metal.

And so it goes.

Gotta love this game..
