Went up to the local range today and they were selling the new titleist DT So/Lo balls for $1 each so I bought three. I haven't had good enough weather to try them out yet, has anybody yet? I'll give my $.02 once I get a chance to play them, but my perspective will prolly be pretty off (1 month experiance in golf, only golf ball I've taken to a course are the Ti Tech Betas so anything softer is gonna feel like hitting klennex compared to those)
I was given a sleeve of these suckers. I hit it about 10 yards longer than the pro v1x, and it still has some pretty **** good feel. the next dozen i buy will be of these. i'm still in the process of really feeling out my golf swing and finding out what golf ball feels best to me and my swing.

A very good ball. Have been using SoLo for quite a while now. Alternated with NXT and ProV1 last year and found that, for the money, the SoLo is the one for me.
I kept finding these boyos (though in the UK, they are pts solo) which you might think good but i think not!
I have felt I get very poor distance with my driver using these, they seem to baloon alot on me and I have to be honest, until seeing this thread, I had assumed they were designed as lady specific golf balls. I wouldnt use these if you paid me.
[b]I get very good distance with these and they feel very soft, which is important to me. I rate these as a 4 and they retail here for around $19.95 a dz. But I have been buying mine online for $8.95 per.
A good Cheap Titleist ball about £18 quid a dozen... good value, only beaten in my estimation by the Pinniacle esceptions.
The PTS Slo-lo's great for any improver golfer who fancies trying titleist balls. good feel off club or putter. Fly well, though will still show up any hooks or slices. But rewards with good distance at any time.
These balls were given out last year in a few men's association tournaments and closest to the pin prizes. I just didn't like these balls at all. I won two closest to the pin prizes also hehe.
I'd be sure interested to hear if your still buying the So/Lo got $8.95 a dozen and if so were on line?

I got about 100 of these for free. I've still got a dozen or so left. I liked them, as they seemed a little softer than the ball I have been using, and went a little further.
If you have a slower swing speed, you will like these balls, since that is what Titleist says they were designed for. I have a slower swing speed, and find that they are very sweet hitting golf balls. If you are a speed swinger, they are not designed for you.
I think this is somewhat of an unfair poll. What do you mean by "how good are they"?
Do they go straight? Yep.
Do they go long? Yep.
Can you stop a pitch on a dime? Nope.
Can you spin them out of a bunker? Nope.
Can you get them to check-up on chips? Nope.
If you want to hit better drives/irons and don't give a rat's behind about the intricacies of the short game, they're an A+. If you rely on your short game to score, you'd probably rather chew on tinfoil than hit these.
I like the DT SO/Lo's. Of course I lose as many of them as I play. I love the way they feel when I hit them. I only have an 80mph swing, and i can really feel the ball give (or squish) a bit before it jumps off the face of the club. They really do jump. Unfortunately, with me, they tend to jump sharply to the right and hide in the nearest trees and brush. Lately I have been playing cheaper balls, but once I take some lessons and they hopefully help, I will surely be using the SO/LO's exclusively.
