Players using the Pro-V1.

Since I started playing again this year I have stuck to the same ball, Titelist Pro-V1. I did experiment with different high end balls for a bit but I like the overall performance of the Pro-V1, it suits my game. One thing that has become most noticable about this ball is the difference in feel ( off all my clubs ) since the weather has turned colder. I do not like the feel of it at all, even on well struck shots it's a clunky feel, very different indeed from playing this ball in warmer weather. I am looking for suggestions guys, has any of you who play this ball noticed the same as I have and have you switched balls ? I am not really concerned with distance, most high end balls are the same give or take a few yards it's feel that I am looking for. Thanks.

Need a lower compression ball for the cold weather... Precept PWRDrive, Srixon AD333, etc.

Is there a golf ball compression list somewhere?

What are some other lower compression balls? I assume the MC Precept Lady balls would do.

Titleist DT So/Lo, Wilson Staff Dx2, Precept Laddie/Lady, Dunlop LoCo, Top Flite Infinity Buttery Feel, Maxfli Noodle Long & Soft / Rotini, Nike Mojo all work when the temperature drops.

Right now, the Titleist NXT Tour, Bridgestone B330-s and similar still work here (at 15-20* C - 60-70* F)

Has to do with core composition, rubber type, etc.. long explanation. Anyway, when it's cold, move to a ball that's got a little softer core for all hits - like the low compression 2 piece balls mentioned above.

I am partial to Srixon myself (sumitomo (sp?) rubber), but there are a lot of good ones out there.

I played in the upper 40s here yesterday, with a fierce wind whipping around. The low compression balls did do better.
