As the temperature plummets in the Northeast, I'm left wondering how long until the next tee time... and that's led me to explore my indoor golf options...
I remembered a thread about the QMotions golf sim that hooks into Tiger Woods for Xbox or a PC and lets you hit a ball off of a mat and play the courses on your home computer or tv. There were a few mentions of it here from about a year ago or so, but no one responded that actually ever hit the thing... the price is really come down, from $200 to $90 (us)... anyone ever check it out?
It was just rated as the best golf sim ("Editor's Choice") by Golf Digest. I'd love to give it a go, but I don't have enough ceiling space in my apt. :-P
I think the Qmotion simulator looks a little cheesy. For example, you have to putt and chip in the air not on the ground. Another simulator similar to the Qmotions is the golf launchpad. It looks like an improved and upgraded version of the qmotions. Check it out at http://www.electricspin.com
nice web site, it all looks good on the site but how will it be in the real world is a different story, wierd thing i have not been able to find a person who has personally used something like this, if it works it is definitely worth investing.
long winters...i know:)
Unfortunately all the local shops areound my area sold out of all the Launchpad simulators. Looks like I am either going to have to buy one of the site and pay a ridiculous amount for shipping , find one on ebay, or just wait until they get in stock. Can't wait to get one though...
Sorry for not responding but I ordered the simulator off their site (electricspin.com) which is located in Canada, so it took a month to get delivered. It should be here this Thursday, I'll post this Friday with some feedback on it. Hopefully, some good feedback
