I am looking at some pings on ebay. I have found two that I am interested in. The I3 and the ISI-K. I don't know much about the I3 but I heard someone awhile back say that the ISI-K is the most forgiving iron ping has ever made. I know newer isn't always better. So if you were buying which is the one you would go with?
I own the ISI-Ks and love them. The I-3 had just come out when I was in the market. I hit both and decided on the Ks. Like all clubs, when I'm hitting the ball well...they feel very forgiving! I particularly like their wedges...I carry 4.
Well I went with the ISI-K. Just bought them today off ebay. I don't know why but I like the look of them over the I3's. Hopefully I can get out and dial them in before the warmer weather works its way back in.
You won't regret it. They are great clubs. And if you don't like them, you can always get your money back cause used Pings hold their value. Basically an improvement over the Zing 2's that I used for many years. Thinner top line, the cavity bars, bigger heads, easy to align, awesome clubs.
You wont regret it..unless you need to get them fixed...my whole family plays ping as we have close connections with ping...they make quality clubs...however bc everything is proprietary shafts its hard to get stuff fixed...just bent a 6 iron and need a new cs lite x shaft and they wouldnt send it to me id have to send it back etc...pita...thankfully i have an identical set...however its irrelevant as im switching to all titleist anyways....my dad plays those irons though and he swears by em..if you arent bothered by the irregular toe shape then its killer set..
Well I got them last night. regriped them today. Just waiting for them to dry and for this rain to blow over so I can get out there and hit them. I think I will like them though. Oh yeah and I also updated my sig. I am soo sad!!!!
I am a Ping junkie and have about 6 sets. The only down side to the ISI-K is they are a little tough to use in the rough. Any oversized club is for that matter. Just more metal to push through the grass.
I played them for the first time Sunday and like the way they feel, but didn't get the same distance as my Cobra's. But I have since found out it may have been from the cold weather that my distance was short.
Yep. It's really tough to tell what new clubs do in less than perfect weather. Once it warms up then you'll get a good feel for them and you'll see what they're capable of. If you don't want to wait for the weather to warm up (I couldn't!) see if there's a place around you with a ball launch monitor. That'll give instant feedback and show you exactly how far the ball is going. It'll show you lots of other cool things too. Simp
