Wedge Review

In the market for some new wedges.
Please provide some info on the Vokey's, Mizuno's, SMT.
Heard good things about the SMT, but how does it compare to the other two in feel and control?

The SMTs match up in quality to any wedges on the market. If you're looking for spin, they surpass any wedge on the market I know of.

Here is my experience

Mizuno - never tried them
Vokey - originally had the 200 series and loved them. Just upgraded to the Spin Milled Vokey's - wow - these make the 200 series seem average. I love the weight of the Vokey's
Cleveland - was disappointed. A little too light for my taste. That said there are many that love Cleveland. In my opinion, you would be hard pressed to beat the Spin Milled Vokeys.

Really? I find my Clevelands quite heavy. But I was using Sharks before. Hardly top of the line! I can recommend the CG10's, they're pretty nice.

I've got a 52, 56, and 60 Vokey, with the 60 being spin milled. I love them! Great feel, good looking, couldn't ask for more!

The Spin Milled is the best wedge I have ever hit....and I have hit them all. If you have a hard time controlling your ball with a wedge get a spin milled and it will be fixed.

Give the Cally Forged + wedges a look. I was playing all Vokey wedges for 10 years and switched this past summer. The sole grind really helps me get through the ball on half wedge shots (30 to 70 yards) that typically trouble most golfers. These shots are MUCH easier for me now.

Just for comparisons sake, I played Vokeys, hit the RAC TP and the clevelands. The Forged + were by far the easiet to hit from a variety of lies. BTW, they were designed by Roger Cleveland. That should tell you how good they are.
