Okay, I am sure there are gonna be 500 different answers, but what do you think is the best ball you can get under 20 bucks a dozen retail price? And why? Not used or clearance balls. I think the Pinnacle Exception is very versatile in this price range, and that would be my choice.
Check out Target, they usually have somting decent on sale. They had Titleist's, DT's i think, mismarked a few years ago, had them at $9.99/dozen a freind and myself bought them out.
I think the Titleist DT Solo are around $20 retail. That's the ball I use and I really like it. I also buy them ebay. I can get mint (no scuffs or player markings, probably have a logo) for about $.75 a ball.
I like the Slazenger Money balls. Their a really soft ball with great feel. If you catch them on sale their really cheap. I've seen them at Dick's for $9.99/doz.

I like Precept's power drive golf balls, but they cost $24 per dozen.
You can go to web site "Golf Balls 101". They rate many different golf balls baesd on distance, spin, straigtness, price, and value.
I just tried some AD333 to replace my usual noodles until the weather finally warms up. This is a very nice ball. Better off the irons than noodles IMO and just as long for me.
I think they are around $16 most places
if you up your limit five bucks that opens up a world of new balls that are IMO a whole class higher than the 15 dollar balls. IE, the new bridgestones, callaway hx hot etc.
That's exactly what I was going to say. For $25 a dozen you can get Cally HX Hot which is one of the best balls under $30...besides I've never been good at following directions anyway.
Pinnacle Exception ,They sent me a 2 ball trial pack and Im very pleased. I use pro v1 392 99% of the time. When I run out of v1's I will switch to the exceptions. I was practicing with my gap wedge from about 110 yards and just for fun I put the exception along side the v1's , The exception flew about 15 yards further , over the green. Although the only downfall Ive seen is that the cover may not be that strong. Seemed to get a rough spot on it after a few hits. They spun about 25% less then the pro v1's on the greens.
Off the driver they carried about 5 yards further today (cold) 297 was the carry distance.
